Internship at 3E Management, LLC
3E Management, LLC provides institutional-quality consulting and analysis services to both Private Equity companies and family offices. 3E provides financial, investment, and operating services. 3E’s senior team has worked in the real estate and finance industry for over 17 years and has created private equity models for over 40 clients around the United States.
During my time here, I worked as the accounting intern. I handled the company’s books, the accounts payable and receivable side of the company, and performed many other accounting tasks. As a graduate student pursuing my master’s degree in Accounting at The University of Texas at Dallas, I was excited to be able to expand my knowledge and skills by working and learning from an intellectual group of people.
Over the course of this internship I was able to strengthen my skills and overcome faults that I found in myself. A great deal of this came from the different tasks I was assigned and through the independence I gained from figuring things out on my own and my ability to overcome obstacles by problem solving.
Although it may not seem like the tasks I completed throughout this internship would affect me, but it has taught me many things in such a short time. I was able to overcome my fear of public speaking by calling clients every day and interacting with employees during the ping pong tournaments held in the office. I was also able to learn time management because time is money and while it is important to finish assignments effectively it was also important to finish them efficiently.
I would like to thank Eric Bergin for making this internship a successful one and for giving me this amazing opportunity to work as an intern at 3E Management. If Eric did not see something in me from the beginning, then I would not hold as much knowledge and confidence as I do today.
As I graduate from my master’s program, I am positive that the knowledge and experience I gained from my internship at 3E Management, LLC will help me prepare for what waits for me ahead and help me in establishing a successful career.
