Holiday Party: What I Wore & 5 Ways You Can Slay Your Holiday Party Look

Hola Sugar cups!

October comes to a beautiful end today and I'm already getting into the holiday spirit. With holiday season is just around, today's post is all about holiday party (yayyy!). Holiday party at work place is one of the best thing November holds, no? Bright lights, party music, delicious party food and nicest workplace decor is incomplete without a perfect holiday party outfit. I decided to flip my office wear wardrobe this time. Having read about styling the day outfit from work to party, almost everywhere, I thought of creating something I've never done before.

In today’s post I’m sharing my holiday party outfit and five ways you can slay the holiday season wardrobe. Off-putting that glamorous sequin dress in the corner of your wardrobe or dumping that party-perfect glitter shoes (I've wore my fav glitter shoes almost everywhere!) is an absolute no-no. This year, the holiday party season is blaring in bright floral, pretty pinks, solid colour-block, sheer, shoulder-baring tops, fur, flounce and all things fine. Holiday party dress is not as easy to interpret. In the first thought, it seems easy, but, when I actually went all out, I realized that a lot more goes into making the holiday party outfit work-place appropriate.

The trend report 2018 predicts sequin is the QUEEN and I trust! Each one of you must be owning a pretty sequin piece that probably is your go-to outfit for parties. But, now let us put on the sequin piece to feel some holiday party vibes. So, I’m wearing my clouds and rainbow sequin t-shirt with black jogger pants (a little athleisure never goes wrong!). I’m quite obsessed with rainbow patches of late and why shouldn’t I? Fall fashion weeks around the globe has cuddled this clouds and rainbows like anything!

Holiday Party: OOTD

Balance is the key in keeping up with trends (especially, when it comes to workplace Holiday party outfit). I opted for this super feminine sling bag to work with the look. Oh and this bag is so LOVE! Picked up from Hattie Stewart’s eccentric designs, this full-fur sling bag has an exquisite embroidery over it. I concluded the final holiday party look by slipping in this very adaptable black espadrilles and viola! I’m all ready to roll my office party.

HOW TO PM TO AM LOOK: 3 Ways You Can Get It JUST Right.

  1. Level down!

Choosing a perfect holiday party outfit is tricky. Say for example, if you are wearing a pretty lace top, cover it up with a blazer and add a quirky brooch pin to work holiday party look.

2. Make a team!

Club your holiday party outfits wisely. For instance, you can replace the skirt by a high-waist chino pant and stilettoes by chunky heels.

3. Layer always work!

A sexy slip dress is certainly too OTT for work and this calls for some serious layering. Wear your structured white shirt inside the slip dress and you are all good to go!

4. Mend the length!

You don’t want to look like you just came to work from a club, don’t you? A black legging is a friend in need! Wear it with that racy body-hugging tunic dress and you are ready to ro(ar)ll.

5. Jumpsuit

Jumpsuit is utterly a no-fuss outfit of all! Shrug it up for holiday party look and for those high street club hopping evenings, tie a corset belt around.

I hope you enjoy reading this. However, I'd like to know what have you planned for holiday season this year. Follow me on Instagram for latest fashion and lifestyle feeds.

So, until next post,

Love,

Jasmin!
