Internship Spotlight: The Climate Reality Project

The Climate Reality Project

Applications are now being accepted for the Spring 2024 cohort of paid internships at The Climate Reality Project, which is a nonprofit organization founded by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore. The Climate Reality Project’s mission is to catalyze a global solution to the climate crisis by making urgent action a necessity across every sector of society.

The Climate Reality Project offers paid internships in three cycles (spring, summer, fall) that align to typical college semesters. The goal of the internship program is to provide a high-quality learning experience that helps to form the foundation for a career in the climate change or environmental movement for a diverse group of individuals seeking hands-on work experience in the field.

Here are the key details for the Spring 2024 cohort:

🗓 Internship dates: January 22 - May 3, 2024

🕘 15-20 hour minimum commitment per week

💵 Compensation: $17/hr

📍 Location: Unless otherwise noted, the internships are hybrid positions in the Washington, DC office where DC-based staff will come to office two days a week.

Fellowship Spotlight: Farmlink FIELD Fellowship

Farmlink FIELD Fellowship

Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 cohort of the Farmlink Project's Innovation, Education, and Leadership Development Fellowship (FIELD).

FIELD is a nine-month work-study fellowship that blends food system knowledge, entrepreneurial training, and real-world experience. The program is designed to empower students to design solutions to the greatest global food system challenges and includes a paid 10 week internship. No experience in sustainability or food systems is required.

ClimateFellowships.com - Pathways to Impact

Forest Corps Launched; Accepting Applications for Summer 2024

Applications are now being accepted for the new AmeriCorps NCCC Forest Corps program ("Forest Corps"), the first major interagency partnership under President Biden’s American Climate Corps.

The Forest Corps is a five-year, $15 million agreement between AmeriCorps and the US Department of Agriculture’s U.S. Forest Service, with the first cohort of 80 members to begin service in the summer of 2024. AmeriCorps members will serve across the country to conserve national forests and grasslands, mitigate risks of wildfires in high-risk regions, and support reforestation efforts and wildfire crisis response.

AmeriCorps members in the Forest Corps program will receive a compensation package equivalent to $15 an hour which includes lodging, transportation, clothing, a living allowance, health benefits and more. No prior education or experience is required.
