Ralph Lauren is returning to the runway Sept. 5, kicking off New York Fashion Week with a destination show in a place near and dear to his heart: the Hamptons.

The exact location will be revealed in the coming weeks.

“The Hamptons is more than a place. It’s a natural world of endless blue skies, the ocean, green fields, and white fences, rusticity and elegance with a quality of light that drew artists here decades ago. Givenchy has tapped Louis Vuitton executive Alessandro Valenti as its new chief executive officer, WWD has learned.

An internal LVMH announcement seen by WWD said Valenti, most recently president of Europe, Middle East and Africa at Louis Vuitton, would start immediately.

Valenti succeeds Renaud de Lesquen, who took the management helm of Givenchy in April 2020, moving over from Dior Americas, where he had been president and CEO of that region.

The management change sets in motion another new chapter at Givenchy, which has been without a creative director since the end of 2023, when American designer Matthew M. Williams wrapped up a three-year tenure complicated by the coronavirus pandemic.

Sebastian Suhl, the former Trussardi chief executive officer and a Prada and Valentino alum, has been named CEO of Mosaiq Group, a new entity grouping companies that specialize in luxury and sustainable packaging. Mosaiq was established by a private equity investor.

Suhl — who left Trussardi in March 2023 amid a company shakeup, following which the brand was eventually sold to Italian fashion group Miroglio — is to spearhead Mosaiq’s transformation into a European leader in luxury packaging, a fragmented sector, leveraging the expertise of the individual companies that are part of the group.

They include paper-box maker Valtenna; Bulgarelli Production, specialized in paper tags and labels; D’Auria Packaging, which produces paper shopping bags; Co.Ri, specialized in fabric bags, and Brand Label, which develops fabric labels.
