Managers Mention

This section includes professional insights from our Sales Managers/ Managing Consultants, offering their perspectives on what is influencing recruitment demand in their sector

"I focus primarily in placing Composite and Mechanical Design engineers within the realms of Motorsport, Automotive and Aerospace.

My latest placements have helped a Formula 1 team with a performance upgrade that was needed in a short space of time.

My market relies heavily on the design, manufacturing and production of Composite materials as it is a key part of performance, particularly within motorsport and hyper car manufacturing.

Using composite materials within motorsport is a major factor in performance due to its safety and allowing the car to be as light as possible.

I am putting a focus on Motorsport and Formula 1 in particular as the market is growing, fast, and g2 Recruitment will be apart of this expansion"

Market Disruptors

This section offers insight from our Marketing team about market disruptors that are shaking up the world of Recruitment.

The benefit of Freelancers during economic uncertainty:

Although the core regions, industries and sectors that g2 Recruitment operates in are in pretty good health, the global economic environment does have an impact.

With potential changes in political leadership and geopolitical instability affecting financial markets, supply chains and energy contingency plans, many companies are uncertain about whether now is the right time to increase permanent headcount.

Big-money projects in manufacturing, automotive and renewables spaces run the risk of requiring an overhaul to fall in line with shifting legislation, so recruitment strategy is becoming increasingly important.

We have found that where projects are going full steam ahead or investment is secured, clients are in favor of utilising a flexible workforce to deliver their growth plans and execute on going work.

Hiring specialized or niche skilled engineers or tech specialists is crucial in various instances, but the longer-term cost they represent is less helpful should funding not materialise for future projects due to aforementioned factors.

This has resulted in considerable growth for g2 Recruitment, with around 80% of our business being in providing interims, freelancers, consultants, freiberufler, externals or which other terms are used within the DACH and BENELUX regions.

The key reasons are below:

  • 1 month notice periods: Subject matter experts are often on 3 or 6 month notices, so hiring them on a temporary basis allows much greater flexibility

  • Speed of access: Senior technical hires can take months to find on a permanent basis due to their scarcity, so by accessing a bigger talent pool by including freelancers that might be able to start immediately, you can seize the moment with tactical hire

  • Cost Management: Without a large recruitment fee, relocation package, company benefits or golden handshakes, you can onboard top talent and only pay them for the hours or days they work

Hiring freelancers isn’t always the answer, each companies set of circumstances and overall goals should be carefully considered before making any decisions about your recruitment approach.

However, if you are uncertain about what the future holds for your business or the sector you operate in, finding out more about whether it will offer value to your organisation during these turbulent times may well allow an alternative solution to balancing risk over coming year.

"My experience with g2 recruitment has been outstanding so far.

Daniel Butt is the most helpful recruiter I’ve met. On top of that, he is also interested in me as a person. I’m not just a number. A regularly follow-up makes it easy to communicate and to solve problems in a very short time.

Working with g2 Recruitment is a great experience. Daniel talks you through all the documents in the beginning and answers all your questions. An honest and correct way to start up. Also, the payments are always correct.

So, everything is as it should be. I would surely recommend g2 Recruitment if you are looking for a job."
