Former Loewe CEO Brings Luxury to Home Interiors, and Simone Biles Is K18's New Ambassador

Simone Biles — who, with 30 World Championship medals under her belt is the most decorated gymnast of all time — has joined the K18 camp.

She begins a two-year ambassadorship with the Unilever-owned hair care brand with a campaign highlighting the importance of inner strength.

“Over the years, my approach to hair health has been quite different,” said Biles, whose styles growing up were often meticulously planned to accommodate not only her training schedule, but the severity of Houston’s heat. “My mom used to braid my hair for competitions, and then I started getting [longer] braids and we were like, ‘OK — that doesn’t really work for competing in gymnastics.'”

Meet the CEO Adding Fashion Flair to Heritage Home Interiors Group, Sanderson

Lisa Montague has spent most of her career managing luxury fashion brands, so when she moved sideways into the world of high-end home interiors, it was only natural she’d take the designers on the journey too.

Having headed businesses including Loewe and Aspinal of London, where she served as chief executive officer, and Mulberry, where she was chief operating officer, Montague knew how to manage high-end brands with history. But her job as CEO of Sanderson Design Group meant working on a whole different level.

The group’s flagship brand, Sanderson, has had a royal warrant since 1923, supplying its rich botanical fabrics, paint and wall coverings to royal residences, and to the late Queen Elizabeth II in particular. Founded in 1860, it’s the oldest existing English brand in the home furnishings industry.

British Vogue’s Sarah Harris to Move Into a New Role at the Magazine

The tectonic plates at Condé Nast continue to shift. 

Sarah Harris, the global network lead and European deputy editor for Vogue, is stepping into a new role as editor at large after returning from maternity leave, WWD has learned.

In 2018, she was promoted from her role as fashion features director to deputy editor under then-editor in chief, Edward Enninful, who left his post last December.

Chioma Nnadi was appointed head of editorial content at British Vogue after Harris had left for maternity leave last summer.
