Embrace Summer with Younium: A Peek into Our Summer Fun!

Hey there, subscription superstars! ☀️ It's time to soak up the sun and dive into our third edition of The Passport to Subscription Zen. This time, we're bringing exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpses of our recent summer festivities and two quick interviews with two amazing team members.

Younium Summer Festivites

We recently celebrated summer from all of our Younium offices! At a company where we embrace a hybrid and remote work style, it's always extra special to get together in person. The atmosphere was electric with laughter, friendly competition in some fun summer games and delicious food! It was a fantastic way to connect as a team and recharge our batteries for (hopefully) some sunny months ahead. Below, catch a glimpse of the atmosphere from our Malmö office - where the theme was all about pineapples🍍.

Meet the Younium Team: Spotlight on Shining Stars

During the festivities in Stockholm, we caught up with two amazing Younium team members to learn more about them and their experiences. Meet Sezen Uluhansin and Matilda Gejhammar, two of our Younium superstars.

Interview with Sezen Uluhansin, Product Marketing Specialist

Can you describe a recent project you're particularly proud of?

I'm particularly proud of a recent project I worked on with Eric Kunzel, where we created a series of product use case videos. Our main focus was to provide in-depth scenarios and solutions for subscription management use cases. We wanted to show how Younium can help both our existing and future customers solve their specific challenges. By shifting from generalized videos to more targeted, specific ones, we could present Younium from different angles, making it easier for our audience to see how our solutions apply directly to their needs. This project has not only helped our customers but also proved a valuable resource to our Customer Success department by providing clear, scenario-based demonstrations.

What's your favorite aspect of working at Younium?

My favorite aspect of working at Younium is the flexibility it offers. Being able to work from anywhere, whether it's in the warmth of Southern Europe or the extreme cold of Antarctica, gives me the freedom to deliver what's needed without being tied to a specific location. This flexibility not only boosts productivity but also enhances work-life balance.

If you could have any superpower for your job, what would it be?

If I could have any superpower for my job, it would be the ability to instantly learn and master new martech tools and systems. The tech landscape is constantly evolving, and being able to quickly adapt and leverage the latest technologies would be incredibly beneficial. This superpower would enable me to stay ahead of the curve and continuously improve the solutions we provide to our customers. On that note, I'm currently working on creating a website related to AI technologies, which is an exciting new venture for me to learn more about AI tools.

Interview with Matilda Gejhammar, Customer Support Specialist

What’s the most rewarding part of your role as a Customer Support Specialist?

The growth I would say, I have grown so much in knowledge about our product and in general about the subscription business by helping and answering our customer's questions and requests. When you think you have learned an answer, you stumble into a new situation where that answer doesn't fit anymore. In these situations, you need to use previously collected knowledge and find out the new answer. It is hard sometimes, but I do not think I have ever been as proud of myself as I have been when solving cases in Younium Support.

Can you share a memorable moment from the summer party that reflects the company’s culture or team spirit?

What happens at the summer party, stays at the ... Jokes aside! I think the best memory is the feeling of being around so excited people. We joke, we laugh, we dance and we celebrate the fact that we are all together. Extra cred to our new colleagues who got assigned to plan the summer party and delivered.

What’s one Younium tradition you look forward to the most?

The annual Kick off for sure! It is like a big family reunion and everyone is so happy. I always get extra excited when I have the chance to meet my colleagues from the Support and Development team who are based in Malmö and Krakow while I work from Stockholm.
