COSHH Safety Management App

As a 'long in the tooth' health and safety professional, and a previous customer of Intersolia and user of their iChemistry COSHH management application for several years before joining their team, I can personally testify to the benefits which this offered me, my colleagues and the group organisation I worked for at the time.

For those who do not know, Intersolia is committed to providing SMEs and multi-national organisations alike, with a robust web-based application known as ‘iChemistry’ which is used for the complete safe management of chemicals. iChemistry is equally robust whether applied to a multi-site global organisation or a single site manufacturing business. Our reputation is built upon improving safety for those who use chemicals whatever their industries. Our iChemistry application makes it very easy for those who have health and safety responsibilities to protect their colleagues by:

  • driving the development of chemical safety ownership within their organisation;
  • the immediate ability to identify all the chemicals and substances within their organisation, across all of their sites, which have prohibition, restriction or exposure limits associated with their use;
  • accountability for carrying out quality ‘activity based’ risk assessments adding value to those at risk;
  • immediate oversight provision of progress by senior management driving through continual improvements; and,
  • the significant enhancement of workplace safety culture.

The benefits associated with using our iChemistry solution are:

  • the avoidance of chemical-related accidents;
  • compliance with UK and European health, safety and environmental legislation;
  • a comprehensive electronic SDS library maintained on your behalf by a dedicated team of SDS experts, ensuring that your SDS’s are always the latest version from your suppliers, saving a significant amount of time and effort; and,
  • a reduction in the number of harmful or hazardous products on your sites.

In my experience the results associated with using iChemistry to manage COSHH requirements are a superior overview of chemical safety efforts, whether applied to a global organisation or a single site manufacturing business, whilst minimising costs by considerably reducing the most time-consuming administration, enabling teams to focus more time and effort on core business related activities.
