UCS-X Series Modular Architechture

Cisco launched UCS M7 servers managed by Cisco Intersight.

With Cisco and Intel's long history and collaboration, we are excited to bring the new Cisco UCS M7 Series powered by Cisco Intersight with Intel's 4th Gen Xeon Scalable Processors. Significant performance upgrades through the new UCS X-Series M7 and C-Series M7 Servers.

The X-Series is one of the industry’s most flexible and sustainable server platforms. It’s built on a future-ready and modular compute architecture, new two/four-socket X-Series Modular Compute Nodes based on 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs, support DDR5, PCIe 5.0, Compute Express Link 1.1 (CXL), and the new Intel accelerator.

This adoption also expands to the 1RU/2RU C-Series M7 rack servers series portfolio, giving more options for two-socket based on the 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable CPUs.

New X-Series GPUs with X-Fabric

The power of X-Fabric GPUs is ideal for modern workloads like AI/ML, video editing, and VDI-at-scale because they process many pieces of data simultaneously. We’re are also giving the option for more flexibility for GPU technology with the ability to connect compute nodes to new Intel Flex Series GPUs with UCS X-Fabric technology.

NOTE: X-Series Intel GPUs will be available between May And June FY23.
