Automatic Barrier Gates For Ferrara Candy's Facility

ECI provided a turnkey installation for the Ferrara Candy Company earlier this year as I discussed just last week. Prior to our installation of the barrier gates as shown above, there were a pair of swing gates leading into this location. Those swing gates are shown below to the left.

Before, the swing gates remained closed and locked until something was needed to be delivered to or removed from the facility. Someone then had to manually unlock and open the gates and then close and re-lock them when the operation was completed.

 An almost complete turnkey installation was provided by ECI. The equipment consisted of two automatic barrier gates spanning the entry and exit lanes, four protective bollards, three vehicle detector loops, the concrete island, building wall penetrations, the black gooseneck mounting pole, all electrical conduit and wiring including connections, concrete work, coring, etc. We did wire in an access reader from their vendor so existing cards and software could be used.
