Announcing: Leapsome NYC

I am delighted to share an exciting milestone in the Leapsome growth journey: we have officially launched Leapsome’s first on-the-ground US presence with an office in New York! With a team working out of NYC, we are now even better positioned to cater to our growing US customer base. Particularly exciting for me is that early next year, I will move, along with my family, from Berlin to NYC to scale the US Leapsome team and kickstart this meaningful new chapter. While I am incredibly thrilled to make this move, I am frankly also a bit nervous as we’re relocating with two very little children (so please share any advice on parenting in NYC with me). 

This next chapter would not have been possible without the guidance, expertise, and investment from Insight Partners, who led our US$60 million Series A round earlier this year. I’m particularly grateful to Rebecca and Katie for their roles throughout that process. 

It’s important to Kajetan and me that Berlin and NYC be strong and equally significant hubs with close ties and a unified cultural core. Our successful Co-CEO model provides us the unique opportunity to commit, at a leadership level, to both markets. With Kajetan in Berlin and me scaling the US business in New York, we underline our ambition to build a global company and global category.

The US is the leading software market in the world and we are fortunate to already work with about 500 US-based customers that use Leapsome to make work more fulfilling for their people. The need for an on-the-ground US presence speaks to the rapid growth of the HR technology market globally, which is projected to grow from US$24.04 billion in 2021 to US$35.66 billion in 2038. The Leapsome NYC office will allow us to provide local support for our growing US customer base and continue to scale globally. 

Kajetan and I are both especially grateful for our NYC launch team, led by Marc-Alexander, who have already relocated from Berlin to set things up in the Big Apple. They have been busy recruiting, among other things, and there are already 25 full-time Leapsome employees working out of the NYC office. We aim to double that headcount by end of the year. This is where you come in: we’re hiring!
