5 Decades of Excellence in the Staffing Industry

The Bachrach Group (“TBG”) is thrilled to announce our 50th anniversary this year, marking half a century of unwavering commitment to excellence in the staffing industry. At the heart of our journey are our founder, Richard Bachrach, and our President and CEO, Anthony Fanzo, who have been instrumental in shaping the company’s trajectory since its inception.

Richard Bachrach, a true legend in the recruiting industry, established The Bachrach Group in 1974, laying the foundation for our legacy of exceptional standards. Starting with a small office on East 42nd Street and a team dedicated to Accounting and Finance, we quickly expanded our services and office space. Shortly after, we launched the Secretarial division and relocated our headquarters to West 33rd Street.

Over the years, we have continually evolved to meet the ever-changing needs of the industry and our clients. As we progressed through the decades, we introduced our Technology division and began offering temporary consulting services. The turn of the millennium brought further innovation with the launch of our Real Estate, Healthcare, and Financial Services divisions.

Anthony Fanzo joined TBG in 2013 and, through dedication and leadership, became President by 2019. Under Anthony’s guidance, TBG transformed from a boutique NYC agency into a national powerhouse, expanding our presence coast-to-coast with offices in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Philadelphia, and beyond. We also launched two sister companies, Jackson Lucas and SourceLab Search, to further diversify our services.

By 2020, our growth necessitated a move to a new Corporate Headquarters on Broadway in Midtown Manhattan. While the COVID-19 pandemic presented many challenges for staffing agencies worldwide, we seized a unique opportunity by securing a contract to help NYC Health Hospitals recruit over 1,500 contact tracers. This pivotal moment led to significant business growth and propelled TBG to the top of SIA’s list of Fastest Growing Firms.

In 2023, Anthony Fanzo earned his spot on SIA’s list of 100 Most Influential Leaders, a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding leadership and lasting impact in the staffing arena.

Today, TBG boasts specialized recruiters in over 20 business lines and industry sectors nationwide, providing localized expertise tailored to the unique needs of each client and candidate we serve. Our leadership team prioritizes employment and education, underscoring our ethos.
