How does your team take advantage of industry themes and trends? One great example is Zillow and their work during April's Fair Housing Month. While they already excel at sharing data & stories about Market Demand and Value to Buyers, their recent coverage on affordable housing saw significantly more engagement. Rightfully so - it's a topic that's been commented on by many politicians during this big election year, with even Biden and Trump both citing data from Zillow earlier this year. Throughout April, Zillow kept this momentum up by sharing data & stories about how BIPOC renters typically pay higher rents and the inequalities in the housing process faced by racial minorities and the LGTBQ community. Unsurprisingly, when we compare Zillow to peers like Redfin, we can see how they've been the most associated brand in their industry across narratives like Affordable Housing and Inequality. I wouldn't be surprised if we see their affordable housing & inequality data cited by other influencers as the year progresses. #pr

If you looked at LinkedIn's top news today, you likely saw the headline about Zillow's latest product launch. We love to see it! Companies in the real-estate space have increasingly seen climate change become a more & more relevant business topic. As such, these PR teams will often share stories about how this has impacted renters & buyers. Zillow and Redfin, in particular, do a fantastic job at placing spokespeople like Skylar Olsen and Daryl Fairweather, PhD to comment on this issue which helps them perform at a higher sentiment score compared to their peers. That said, much of what Redfin has shared in the past is largely just data from the platform. Zillow's ability to not only share data from their platform, but also give consumers a tool to navigate these climate risks is already being called a "win" for the industry. For the brand team, this can be seen through a superior net sentiment score and nearly 33% more prominent stories. Kudos to the Zillow team, and amazing job getting featured on LinkedIn top news! Re/Max’s Strategic Response to a Diverse and Evolving Market Over the family day weekend I was going through some of my files and reflecting on some of my past experiences working with Clients facing a rapidly changing consumer landscape. I came across one of my case studies on Re/Max and thought is a great example on how to integrate research, strategy and tactical marketing program to drive change. Re/Max’s Diverse Market Challenge In the GTA's vibrant mosaic, Re/Max’s dominance was waning in areas like Markham, Scarborough, and Brampton—regions thriving with newcomers entering the market. Addressing the dwindling market share meant realigning with the evolving buyer demographic. Strategic Revamp We dove into strategy, conducting internal broker surveys to pinpoint service gaps and resources to allow their brokers to bolster Re/Max's competitive edge. Our focus was twofold: to reflect the community's diversity within their agent mix and to arm them with cutting-edge tools for success. Marketing Innovations We boosted local empowerment, harnessing the potential of South Asian and Chinese markets with tailored tools and support, and we supported the development and then leveraged Global.Remax.com to offer a global property search in over 40 languages. Creative Outreach Our team launched North America's inaugural Real Estate WeChat Official Page, drawing over 2,400 followers instantly, while offering in-language billboards and QR-coded print media strategically targeted the Chinese and South Asian consumers in the GTA. Engaging Community True to Re/Max's ethos, we fostered community connections through cultural forums, sparking conversations between real estate leaders and homebuyers. The result? A triumphant return to market share leadership in diverse communities within just two years. A Culturally Intelligent Approach Re/Max’s story is a lesson in cultural intelligence and its power in reshaping business strategies. It's a testimony to the strength found in diversity, and a playbook for those navigating similar market shifts. #MarketDiversity #ReMaxResilience #CulturalIntelligence #RealEstateInnovation #CommunityEngagement #GlobalMarketReach

Hot take 🔥🌶️ I was catching up with a friend who works in sales, and he said: <<As Millennials take on buying roles, I'm seeing a shift in buyer behavior. This demographic of employee-buyers appears to approach their roles with a distinct 9-to-5 mentality, which feels like a departure from previous generations for whom work often intertwined closely with personal identity. The sentiment that "work is a job; it's not my identity," encapsulates this shift and presents a new obstacle for sales teams because it implies a reduced emotional investment in the workplace. The net effect is that this new generation of buyers feel business pains less acutely. In turn, that diminishes the urgency and receptivity to solutions that vendors offer. In contrast, previous generations, who may have viewed their professional roles as integral to their identity, were more open and responsive to solutions that promise to alleviate their pain points.>> Have you observed this shift in buyer behavior? 🤔 If so, how do you sell to a market segment that feels more detached from corporate challenges? #B2Bsales #MillennialBuyers #SalesStrategies #ProfessionalIdentity #sales

Customer behavior is changing drastically today. Take my brand, Up Closets, for example. We're competing with big names like Closet Factory, California Closets, and Closet by Design, all major players in the online franchise world. Yet, we're doing well and making an impact. We're not stuck in the past. We're not targeting Gen X or baby boomers, the typical home improvement enthusiasts with money to spend. Instead, we're focusing on younger people, those in their early to mid-30s. Because the future of any successful business lies with millennials and Gen Z. If you're still relying on long sales appointments or tedious forms, you'll lose this crowd. It's time to adapt and seize the opportunities this new market offers. While others are slow to catch on, we're enjoying success. #CustomerBehavior #HomeImprovementMarket #FutureForwardBusiness

💫🌟🌱 News SO exciting we had to use three emojis! Diverse Nation is growing, but in a different way... I'm thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of Diverse Nation Sales and Lettings! Now, we all know that buying and selling property can be incredibly stressful. Finding fabulous tenants for your property can also be stressful, and we know it's ridiculously stressful for renters trying to navigate the market and to find somewhere to live. What we felt was needed was a calm, professional, and chilled-out property place people can come to. We wanted a sensory-underloaded, psychologically peaceful experience that removed the noise and headaches from buyers, sellers, landlords, and renters alike. This new venture is dedicated to creating inclusive, supportive, welcoming, and quiet experiences for all our clients while they navigate the world of property. Stay tuned for more details coming soon - we can't wait to share what we have in store! Your support and enthusiasm mean the world to us. Watch this space. #DiverseNation #SalesAndLettings #Neuroinclusion #ComingSoon #ExcitingTimes #StayTuned

It's great to see the growth of small businesses. I would argue that it's fueled by many things- technology, WFH, layoffs. But to succeed you need more. Over the last 29 years we have served many entrepreneurs and small businesses with marketing, strategy and support. Many of them have sat at our dining table, some with their children as we were raising ours, and many have become friends. Being a small business owner is not easy and certainly not for everyone. I don't love the term "small" business because it assumes a uniform scale to be successful. How about your business size be like your mission and goals- just right for you? #NationalSmallBusinessWeek
