🌟 Employee Spotlight🌟 This week we are spotlighting one of our Security Engineer's, David Bobadilla! David started with Legato in January of 2021. Read below to find out more about David. What sold you on Legato? The great leadership they have and their story. I also liked their very early days as a company with huge potential along with the opportunity to make an impact and unique opportunities to learn constantly from the latest security software available in the market.   What is the most rewarding thing about your position? The most rewarding thing for me is the feeling of satisfaction when onboarding a new client from 0 to be fully onboarded/protected and seeing the team efforts and overcoming challenges to get them there.    What is the single most important skill you need to have when specializing in security engineering? I think being humble is a must have soft skill in this industry. Nobody knows everything, and when you are humble and willing to listen and learn from others, you can achieve your team goals. In our team, we get to collaborate and share our expertise’s to accomplish our goals. If you could travel anywhere tomorrow, where would it be and why? I think it would always be Mexico because of the amazing food, culture, and beauty they have to offer.

What sold you on Legato? The skill and culture that is here at Legato. The knowledge here is very strong and everyone loves working here. Each person I spoke to during the interview process shared how rewarding and positive it was to work here, and it has been exactly what I was looking for.   What is the most rewarding thing about your position? Seeing projects from start to finish. Projects don’t always go exactly as planned, but it is rewarding to see things through to completion.   What is the single most important skill you need for working in network engineering in the MDR space? Attention to details. Cybersecurity is an evolving field, so granular attention to all access and policies is important to protect any business whether large or small.   What is your favorite holiday tradition? I really enjoy the family time spent during this time of year. Time slows down a little bit and you can appreciate the little things a little bit more.  

[ END OF THE QUARTER reflections with Proofpoint ] - embracing new challenges and accomplishments! What happened? > Traveled to Canada (Montreal) for the first time to meet my team face-to-face, connected with customers and IT leaders at the Cybereco > Observed demos, MEDDIC Framework, and assessment skills. > Kept overcoming some psychological insecurities with Cold calling in French and English. The more we face it, the stronger we become, right? > Mentored fellow BDRs and explored innovative strategies in cold outreach. > Increased my Lead generation via LinkedIn Inmail > Recognized as the hustler of the month, > Achieving over 1.9 M ARR and surpassing my quota by 111%. I am grateful for the growth and support from my managers, AEs, SEs, and peers. As the week concludes, I look forward to seizing new opportunities next quarter. Even on Friday, the opportunities are floating in the air; take it. Do not wait until Monday to set it up! I just set another meeting this afternoon to start my next quarter with positive vibes and some more pipeline. Sales never sleep! Lesson learned: ---> Be patient and resilient - Dedication, consistency, and technics pay off. ---> Get back to your old Opp - sometimes lost deals are not lost. ---> Stay organized and track, make a to-do list, and always take notes. ---> Keep asking questions to the most experienced to learn. ---> Get out of your comfort zone to overcome your fears. ---> Try new strategies and outreach approaches; if they don't work, PIVOT! Don't give up. I already listed some new challenges and micro-goals for this next quarter 3 in my notes, so following Monday, I will not let my anxieties make me scared to fail. I'm excited!
