Dynamic Accomplished Leader in Telecommunication Engineering, Consulting, Marketing, and Real Estate | Driving Innovation and Delivering Exceptional Results
In organizations that depend on volunteers, it's essential to wholeheartedly appreciate the individuals who generously give their time, as well as the invaluable contributions they make. When this appreciation is genuinely expressed, remarkable achievements become possible. However, if such recognition is lacking, unintended consequences may arise. Embracing and celebrating the selflessness of volunteers not only leads to positive outcomes but also fosters a sense of fulfillment and unity within the organization, creating a win-win scenario for everyone involved. Have you had experiences where you were not valued as a volunteer, conversely have you been valued as a volunteer? What was the outcome in both cases?

Typically, the volunteer journey at PMI begins while preparing for the PMP certification or some other PMI certifications. It’s there that you discover volunteering and how you can make a difference by supporting others while enhancing your project management skills. The next step is becoming a chapter leader, where you’re tasked with managing an organization – an incredible experience, especially if you’re not yet part of a board at your workplace! It’s a journey filled with challenges and learning that I highly recommend undertaking, as it impacts the lives of others whom you can put names and faces to, as well as your own life. Once you embark on this journey of serving others, there’s no turning back. PMI-Central Illinois Chapter

'Community' is one of B Corp's six accountability pillars for measuring impact (our recent recertification score for this pillar was 21.7). For us this means understanding our impact through sourcing, supply chain and partnerships, as well as the way we engage with, and support our customers, industry and social and environmental initiatives. This includes: ✔️ Donating through the 1 Percent Collective ✔️ Offering B-Corp social enterprises and nonprofits a discount on their services ✔️ Providing pro-bono services to organisations that are out there trying to do good Hit this link to read more about what matters to us and how we work. https://brightly.nz/values
