Today marks the anniversary of the ratification of the 14th Amendment, a pivotal moment in our nation’s history. Ratified on July 9, 1868, the 14th Amendment granted citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the United States and guaranteed equal protection under the law. This landmark amendment remains a cornerstone of civil rights, reminding us of the ongoing journey toward equality and justice for all. In honoring this anniversary, we recognize the significant contributions of women across diverse sectors who have championed civil rights and social justice. The YWCA team extends beyond the walls of our offices! Our friends at Deloitte helped pack hygiene kits at Streetwise earlier this month. Deloitte employees volunteered as part of the company’s 25th Impact Day. Deloitte is purposefully committed to helping to create positive change for employees and the community.
