“First Sage”. Another one of our early bloomers are these lyreleaf sage flowers. Right now they’re pretty small, but they will get bigger as spring progresses. They’re another springtime fave since they’re one of the first flowers that I got some reasonable closeup photos of. #lyreleafsage #lyreleafsageflowers #springwildflowers #Floridawildflowers https://lnkd.in/eBajmfPi

Pink Lake Hillier is a super cool place! Imagine a lake, but instead of blue water, it's bright pink! Yes, you heard that right, PINK! It's like something out of a fairy tale. Now, you might be wondering, why is it pink? Well, scientists think it's because of tiny microorganisms that live in the lake. These little guys produce a pink pigment, kind of like how we get a tan from the sun. It's like a natural pink paint party! But here's the cool part: even though it's pink, you can't just dip your toes in and swim like a regular lake. That's because the water in Lake Hillier is super salty, much saltier than the ocean. So, it's not the best place for a swim. Lake Hillier is located on an island called Middle Island in Australia, and it's surrounded by a dense forest. So, it's like this bright pink gem hidden in the middle of green trees – a stunning sight from above! People love to visit Lake Hillier to see its amazing pink color, and you can even take a helicopter ride to get a bird's-eye view. Just remember, it's a bit of a mystery why it's pink, but that's part of what makes it so magical! #LakeHillier #PinkLakeHillier #PinkLake #AustraliaTravel #NaturalWonders #BucketListDestination #PinkParadise #TravelAustralia #ExploreNature #Wanderlust #TravelGoals #InstagrammableSpots #HelicopterViews #PhotographySpot #PinkWater #NatureLovers

"Black-eyed Susans". Cheerful, yellow summer time Black-eyed Susans (Rudbeckia hirta) attract bees and butterflies and are a hardy flowering perennial. These are from my garden, but to be honest, I'm not that crazy about the "actual" bright canary-yellow color, so I softened the tones to my liking. They are almost finished blooming. Fall is around the corner. Pacific Northwest.
