Is it even worth the hassle for $6.6m or $20m in returns allowing the Gold Rush to screw our nature and kill our native species? Now we know where most of the money comes from: their PR support for the current government. Also, all the resources on the land belong to the people of NZ/Aotearoa, not parties to make decisions. It requires a referendum, like many other items that have interested our people. Because they are elected, they still do not give them the right to go ahead and decide on something that will affect our present and future. Again, all the moves our current government is save the day without considering future outcomes. They increased speed limits immediately, and death tolls on the roads increased. Why approach this matter the way Norway's government did with their oil reserves by nationalizing any resources to give back to the country and help to build the country so people who work so hard can enjoy the benefits from infrastructure to health care? https://lnkd.in/gDFh8sBZ. I would do this if I were a government thinking of it, which is more beneficial: $2b in returns or $20m for our people or country's future. Nationalized resources can also control an environmental approach and minimize the effects on all our native nature and species—most of all, our future. I will not surprise the current government to go ahead with less than two digit million profit a year and make it like a victory to our nation. Their voters again will be, "You see, they care, and they are making money for us, not like the Labour Party." To me, this move will insult our people, and it will be another significant RICHARD government move. I said it before. Dont mind repeating it with significant leadership and the Right moves; this country has so much to offer us to save probably the next 500 years or more. But this could all go away with current government moves by allowing private foreign companies to reap the benefits of our resources while the hard-working people of this country are still suffering. #newzealandjobs #newbeginning #newzealandbusiness #newzealand #newzealandlife #goldenopportunity #goldrush #aotearoa https://lnkd.in/gHm_fjAr
