Breman Machinery specialises in high precision fabrication of components and finished products. Last Thursday we had the privilege of to visit them in Genemuiden. Although it was a long haul with the bus from Rotterdam, it was worth every mile of the travel. The day began with a short presentation, shortly followed by tours of the factory floor, which contains some of the biggest turning and milling machines you will ever see. Afterwards we had a welding workshop, which a lot of YIRO-members did with pleasure - it's one thing making calculations involving welds behind your desk, it's another doing it in practice. The afternoon ended in style with drinks and an opportunity to meet new and old acquaintances from the industry. A big thanks to Niek Breman and all others at Breman Machinery making this visit possible.

🛳 Young IRO on Pioneering Spirit 🛳 Last Friday, we visited the Pioneering Spirit with over 40 Young IRO professionals! Once again, what a vessel! Amazing to see the combination of complex technology and it's sheer size! It was a great opportunity for young professionals from all different offshore companies to get an exclusive tour on the largest offshore ship in the world! And what an honor to be welcomed on board by Edward Heerema himself! Thanks again to Allseas for making this possible! ❤️

🎉 First Young IRO Lustrum “The fun of disruption” a great success! 🎉 We like to share some exciting highlights from our first Young IRO Lustrum event! It was a day filled with inspiration, networking, and fun under the sunny skies 🌞 . We are happy with the great success it turned out to be! We very much enjoyed welcoming 80 enthusiastic participants joining in this event. The diverse backgrounds of our attendees created a dynamic atmosphere full of ‘fun and disruption’! The day kicked off with an inspiring keynote speech from the school of life that focused on stepping out of your daily routine and starting to think differently. 💡 This was followed up by our panel discussion which included chief-level participants from IRO partners such as Huisman, Sif Group, TNO, and Heerema. Their discussions on the theme "The Fun of Disruption" were very inspiring and provided precious perspectives on the changing landscape of our industry. On the fun-side of our theme, we introduced a dose of adrenaline with archery tag, a fast and exciting game using bows and arrows in a last-man standing setting. Regardless of the heat on this sunny day, everybody was aiming for the eternal fame of archery tag master! 🥇 Thank you to everyone who joined us for this great day of inspiration, connections, and enjoyment. We look forward to seeing you all at our other future events! Please sign up here for our newsletter: https://lnkd.in/e_GFbTtN
