On June 13th, YLWD's J. Wayne Miller, Ph.D. (PFAS) Water Treatment Plant was featured as a tour destination during this year's AWWA ACE24 conference. 💦 A diverse group of attendees from around the country gained invaluable insight on PFAS water treatment using ion exchange technology, overall plant design, challenges, and maintenance. On June 10th, YLWD welcomed tour groups from various locations, including Colorado, New Mexico, Washington D.C., and Korea, to the J. Wayne Miller, Ph.D. Water Treatment Plant. On May 30th, YLWD Board of Directors conducted a special tour of current YLWD Capital Improvement Projects in the service area. YLWD engineers provided updates at multiple sites including booster pump stations, emergency back-up generators, and waterline replacement projects. 🚧 Providing reliable water and sewer services to customers across the YLWD service area involves the construction and maintenance of complex infrastructure including facilities, equipment, and pipelines. 🛠️💧 By investing in projects like these, YLWD reaffirms its commitment to consistently offering customers high-quality, sustainable water and sewer services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 🙌
