Gratitude is the aristocrat of emotions. If you don’t feel it right now, try this: 1-Close your eyes 2-Take a deep, cleansing breath 3-Picture your favorite outdoor space 4-Use your senses to see, hear, taste and smell it. 5-Smile, you experienced a real sense of gratitude. Psychologists find that, over time, feeling grateful boosts happiness and fosters both physical and psychological health, even among those already struggling with mental health problems. If you can manifest gratitude, you'll boost your own self-esteem -- and that of others. I am grateful for all of those who gave this a try. #mentalhealthmatters #gratitudeattidtude #loveyourselfandothers

Small Changes, Big Impact on Mental Health ❤️ I wanted to share something important with you today - the incredible power of small changes in our lives. When it comes to mental health, even the tiniest adjustments can make a world of difference. Instead of striving for perfection, focus on progress. Start your day with a moment of mindfulness, breathe deeply, or simply reach out to a friend for a quick chat. These small steps can help boost mood, and improve overall well-being. Remember, you don't need to overhaul your entire life to see positive results. Small, consistent changes can lead to significant improvements in your mental health. So, take a deep breath, be kind to yourself, and embrace the power of small changes. Wishing you a day filled with positivity and self-care! #mentalhealthawareness

As we welcome the freshness of spring, it's the perfect time to prioritize your mental well-being. Here are three simple ways to nurture your mind and soul: 1️⃣ Connect with Nature: Step outside and soak up the sunshine! Take a leisurely walk in the park, tend to your garden, or simply sit and breathe in the fresh air. Connecting with nature has been shown to reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance overall mental health. 2️⃣ Practice Gratitude: Cultivate an attitude of gratitude by reflecting on the things you're thankful for each day. Keep a gratitude journal, where you can jot down three things you're grateful for every morning or night. Focusing on the positive aspects of your life can help shift your perspective and promote feelings of happiness and contentment. 3️⃣ Engage in Self-Care: Make time for activities that nourish your mind, body, and soul. Don't let closed doors hinder your journey to happiness. Here's why: This is how lingering on closed doors affects your mental health: 🔹Are you spending too much time focusing on lost opportunities? 🔹Are you forgetting to notice the new doors opening around you? 🔹Are you letting past disappointments dictate your present mood? If you find yourself in this cycle, trust me, You are distancing yourself from potential joy and peace. Because focusing on the open doors says a lot about: 🔹Your resilience. 🔹Your ability to find joy. 🔹Your mental well-being. 🔹Your perspective on life. 90% of happiness comes from how you respond to life's ups and downs. 42% of your joy can be regained, By simply shifting your focus to the open doors. So what do you do? 🔸Acknowledge the closed door. 🔸Shift your focus to the open doors. 🔸Embrace new opportunities. 🔸Protect your mental health. We talk about mental health awareness all the time, but where does self-awareness come into this? I’ve always been told that I have excellent self-awareness of my mental health, because I can feel a depressive episode forming in the clouds, and how to look after myself when the storm starts. I know my triggers, from being overwhelmed in noisy places, to my nerves being affected by stress, and when my inner voice is encouraging unhealthy habits. Without my level of self-awareness, I think I’d feel rudderless. I might not know when to say no to people, which I find hard anyway. I might be confused by my feelings, which can cause small problems to grow in size pretty quickly. Essentially, self-awareness helps me to make sense of why things happen in the way that they do. That can help you to rationalise if feeling paranoid, becoming obsessive, and overthinking. When you’re aware of feeling hungry, you eat. When you’re aware of feeling tired, you sleep. When you know something is happening that is making you feel mentally unwell, it’s time to stop, draw breath, and think about what you need to do to feel better. Good self-awareness is priceless. #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #selfawareness #stigma
