Vently is becoming the Go-to platform for communities, groups, & clubs to organize, communicate, and engage with their community. Here's why 👇 - Run Clubs are all about community, but how do hosts and clubs engage with their communities? Eventbrite? Meetup? Partiful? These platforms don't adhere to or accommodate social clubs. - We bridge the gap from event - to community. Enabling the “next step” for communities to engage and grow. In addition to enabling hosts and guests to manage attendees, send invites, communicate with guests, Vently enables communities to grow, engage, collaborate, and organize within their groups. - Many platforms are “one stop” platforms as we call them. Click-Rsvp-Click out. Not fostering of the culture communities have already created. Enabling communities to open themselves to new members, leverage guest networks with shareable links, and bridge a closer experience is what sets Vently apart. - We are built by communities, for communities.

Every USA soccer family should read this! So many good messages from what was a very successful sporting family. Not the most affluent at the start but now they do very well financially. Look for the details!!! Most of the sport in the UK is based on recreation (95%) Parents and kids know clearly when they make the jump to what is considered “Elite sport” as then the do not pay! Everything is merit driven and in the last 25 years or so, has become safer than its ever been! Why? A plan, a strategy, a set of standards, oversight of those standards and a clear marketing campaign that informs everyone of what is needed! 95% of kids playing soccer in the USA are sold “elite” from day one! This is resold every year at tryouts until they stop playing! The drop out rate is horrendous but the marketing people rely on the next batch coming thru! With the introduction of standards, oversight and monitoring of them, we can introduce a cultural change that truly benefits the nation! Thoughts?
Everybody brings their children up in a different way but I can’t think of a better way to bring them up than in a sporting environment. The lessons that can be learned in life through sport are incredible and I’m really lucky that I’ve been able to play sport throughout my whole life, from when I was young and being able to play football and cricket with my dad and cousins, to how my grandad and nana, mums and sisters would all watch each other play netball, hockey, and rounders and we’d all go and support each other. That community in sport, not just in fans, but the social aspect at club level is incredible. I think of the benefit of sport to my kids now in their health and wellbeing, the winning and losing, ups and downs, disappointments, injuries, being picked in the team, being left out, winning, not winning, all those everyday ups and downs you need to get used to in your life can be gained in sport. It can help build resilience and robustness, teach you about being part of a team and looking after each other, and see when one of you is struggling and be there to help. This is a picture of my two kids playing netball with my mum last night and I think about when my auntie and mum played with my sister and my cousin all those years ago on a Monday night and we used to go and watch and seeing that legacy continuing on now with my mum playing with my two daughters, it makes me so proud, particularly on the day of the anniversary of my dad’s passing and how proud he would have been to watch them ❤️

We're proud to join with our friends from across sport and health to support the #TakeTheLead campaign. Too many women and girls are missing out disproportionately on the joy, fulfilment and lifelong benefits of sport throughout their lives. The result of this can be seen in the staggering physical and mental health inequalities that women face. 👉90% of those hospitalised with eating disorders are female 👉Self-harm is five times more likely in young women 👉Two million women in England and Wales have osteoporosis 👉Half of women over 50 will break a bone because of this disease, compared to 20% of men. The cumulative impact of this on the NHS and on the economy should be obvious to any government. The next government must step up and recognise the value and importance of sport to women and girls. It must recognise the value of women’s sport to society. It must be ready to play its part in closing the gender play gap and making the UK a more active nation.
Today a coalition of more than 200 bodies, athletes, businesses and charities across health, sport, recreation, and physical activity are calling on party leaders to #TakeTheLead and commit to making the UK the most active nation in Europe. Swimmer Becky Adlington, Rugby’s Ugo Monye, skeleton’s Amy Williams and dance legend Darcey Bussell are among the stars and organisations who have signed an open letter to leaders, kickstarting the #TakeTheLead campaign: which demonstrates the importance of creating a more active nation and, crucially, the urgent need and unique opportunity for leaders to unlock our sector in a move that could be transformative to communities across the UK. Participation in sport and physical activity matters. A lot. It unites our nation, binds our communities together, and makes us healthier, happier, more productive and more prosperous. And every year it saves the NHS £9.5bn by preventing illness and in generates £85bn in economic and social value. But it could do so much more. We need our next political leaders to take their inspiration from our leaders across sport, recreation and physical activity – to step up and make it happen. We’re calling for a commitment to make the UK the most active nation in Europe. We’re calling on the next Government to #TaketheLead ukactive Active Partnerships Youth Sport Trust CIMSPA Sport for Development Coalition https://lnkd.in/e5XR5X4c

Sport England has published its report into how cost of living is impacting on sport and physical activity, incorporating research from Sported's member groups. In supporting community sport and young people, there remains worrying access gap that’s both putting participation at risk from a demand side and the subsequent pressure that’s putting on clubs and facilities from a supply/revenue side. It's certainly where we ask government at national and local level to recognise the societal implications of maintaining fair access to all. Read the report here: https://lnkd.in/ehXR56H4

Really enjoyable discussion this morning around the Sport England Universal Offer. The progress and leadership, over the last few years in particular, has been incredible. So much energy and focus on 'system working' and 'place based' has resulted in some brilliant insight, discussions, and learning. To design and implement that work, from concept to completion, is astounding when you think about it. My cap is doffed. So I do hope that the progress continues through the next phase. I believe it will as there are so many good people driving this. But for me, this next phase has to achieve better connectivity with grassroots organisations, and particularly the smaller ones. Often these are the least resourced, and therefore have the least capacity to network and engage. They 'just' do. This, for me, is the holy grail, and something that has only been reinforced since joining Access Sport, where I've seen this much closer through the work we do and the support we offer. The reality is that many of those groups / organisation are a million miles away from this whole agenda. Top and bottom approach / connectivity / involvement has to be the end goal if our system is to achieve our goals. I think it will happen too. Always believe.

Gym owners, you set the tone. Yes, CrossFit coaches drive each session, keeping members motivated and eager to return. But as gym owners, you're pivotal in crafting the environment of your gym. Let's not forget: CrossFit – and all gym spaces – are about community. This vibrant community ethos is why its growth has surged in the last decade. Anyone who's been to a box knows the energy. It's electric, but it isn't mere luck. This is why we emphasize: Branding goes beyond just a logo. It's the bedrock of your business success. It's not just about state-of-the-art equipment or top-notch programming. It's about: Community Mission Values So, the question remains: How are you fostering these elements?

Great day running the Super Kids Mash up event at the National Squash centre in Manchester in partnership with Manchester Children’s Hospital, Shine and Harry’s Hat. Great to see so many happy smiling faces and that includes the parents. So many people wanting to know where they can go after the event. Disability Sports Clubs, Impairment specific clubs and mainstream clubs. I have two questions 1 how do people find out about the opportunities. Question 2 who’s responsibility is it to provide this information
