Gérant adjoint du magasin Walmart succursale Rosemère à l'approvisionnement de nuit. Over Night Assistant Store Manager at Walmart 😃
Relationships are powerful. Our one-to-one connections with each other are the foundation for change. And building relationships with people from different cultures, often many different cultures, is key in building diverse communities that are powerful enough to achieve significant goals. Whether you want to make sure your children get a good education, bring quality health care into your communities, or promote economic development, there is a good chance you will need to work with people from several different racial, language, ethnic, or economic groups. And in order to work with people from different cultural groups effectively, you will need to build sturdy and caring relationships based on trust, understanding, and shared goals. Regardless of your racial, ethnic, religious, or socioeconomic group, you will probably need to establish relationships with people whose group you may know very little about. In our World today there are an estimated 474.7 million native Spanish speakers and about 100 million second and foreign language speakers around the world as of 2022, totaling 574 million Hispanophones in total. This makes Spanish the second most natively spoken language and fourth most spoken language overall globally.
At Walmart, we embrace the rich tapestry of cultures that make up our incredible team, and Hispanic Heritage Month is the perfect time to highlight the vibrant contributions of our Hispanic associates. We are proud to stand alongside our Hispanic associates, appreciating their unique perspectives, talents, and the sense of belonging that unites us all as one Walmart family. #OurPeopleMakeTheDifference #BeGreat #SecretSauce

#sustainability #nobelprize Burgers, fries, and soda, the American version of German meat and potatoes with a drink, from the icon of American cultural globalization, the golden arch of Ray Kroc’s McDonald’s, gave the comeback kid from Hope, Arkansas, Bill Clinton, a triple bypass. Taste and health cannot be more perfectly uncorrelated, -1, or are they perfectly correlated, 1, because what Clinton and Bill Gates consider taste is reality the lack of it? This lack of taste is giving the planet a nona-bypass along all the nine planetary boundaries, as the Amazon burns to let the cows graze to feed the world’s growing appetite for their flesh along with economic growth and aspiration of the one human family to converge. Gates wrote a book on climate. Invested in how to mitigate cows passing methane. But his addiction to money and cows remains, undermining both his book and investments. The way to save humanity is not to make rounds of both Norway and Sub Saharan Africa, far far above and far far below the equator, the Great White North and the Great Black South, but walking the talk on global sustainability. Does this sound good or do you want me to give you consent to talk about my vision to showboat and make a quick buck?
Growing up, my family spent a lot of time—and made a lot of great memories—at Burgermaster. My dad actually did a lot of early Gates Foundation work sitting in one of the corner booths at the Laurelhurst location—to the point that people even sent him mail there. Happy National Burger Day to all who celebrate.

For #HispanicHeritageMonth, celebrated September 15 through October 15, we’re reflecting on the achievements and contributions Hispanic Americans have made not only to our industry but to our history and culture. According to the National Restaurant Association and MFHA - The Multicultural Foodservice & Hospitality Alliance's 2022 Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion report, about one in four members of the restaurant workforce are Hispanic. It’s Friday, so let’s keep this short, shall we? Did you know “Come as you are” is the slogan for McDonald’s France, inspired by the song from Nirvana? McDonald’s uses it to prioritize people over products. What does it mean to you? To me, it signifies inclusivity and acceptance for all. Everyone is welcome, regardless of their differences. How do you promote belonging in your business or life? How crucial is belonging in your relationships? Let’s create spaces where everyone feels they belong. #Belonging #Inclusivity #Diversity #Acceptance #Community I understand the deep feelings of not belonging in an organisation, in a culture or country or in a relationship; if this is you today, let's talk now!

Empowering hospitality & QSR businesses to thrive. Problem-solver, innovator, and continuous improvement advocate.
Last week, I gave a sneak peek of the services my business would be offering in the flyer I'm designing. This week, the reverse side of the flyer explains the reasons behind what I'm doing. Working at McDonald's for 12 years, I learned a lot about systems at a large scale. When I transitioned to sharing my experience with more casual local brands, it became increasingly apparent how much time and effort goes into building the foundational systems that I had taken for granted. Everyone aspires to replicate owning their own distribution network, breaking ground on their next site, owning the real estate, and securing major collaborations like Coca-Cola. The truth is, staying in business for more than 5 years is tough enough, let alone 84 years. However, as a collective community, we have more than 84 years of mistakes and successes to share. I've started a LinkedIn group to begin building this community and welcome anyone who wants to join me as an admin. https://lnkd.in/gbz6Kij7 #continuousimprovement #operationalexcellence #community

Marketing @ the Intersection of Culture & Social Impact | 2022 Forbes 50 Most Entrepreneurial CMOs | Black Dollar Index Founder | Do It For The Equity
I'll be honest, I'm not seeing a ton of corporate Black History Month action yet this year and I am hoping that changes. With that said, everyone keeps looking for the ACCOUNTABILITY, so this year I want to discuss these campaigns more critically and constructively. Starbucks: Kudos for: ⚖️ Not backing down in light of racial justice attacks 🎨 Leaning into the BHM theme by enlisting Seattle artist Damon Brown. 💵 Donating to racial justice causes that help change policy Questions: 💰 How much are you committing to Black-centered nonprofits? How/when is that amount determined? 🧾 Do the proceeds from the cups go towards something equitable? Opportunities: I would love to see a BHM program that's more integrated into your business operations. A BHM kickoff that extends beyond February would be amazing. A couple of thought-starters: 1️⃣: Donate to nonprofits that directly benefit your industry and supply chain, such as Black farmer initiatives or a Black trade association. 2️⃣: I would personally love to see smaller Black-owned brands like Hella Tea Oakland and Brooklyn Tea get some sort of spotlight, partnership, or support from a big brand like Starbucks. I look forward to seeing how much goes to racial justice organizations and what stories you uplift during the remainder of the month. Sincerely, Kelle, a Racial Justice Advocate
Every year, the Association for the ASALH: Association for the Study of African American Life and History chooses a different Black History Month theme, and this year’s theme is “African Americans and the Arts”, so this month we are going to see a lot of artist partnerships. First up, Starbucks . The coffee giant partnered with Seattle artist Damon Brown to create something that can live beyond February. Take a look at their activation, some considerations, and the things we know about Starbucks. What are your thoughts — did Starbucks go #beyondthesurface? #blackhistorymonth #blackhistory #starbucks #corporate #brandcampaign #racialequity #blackdollarindex #blackdollarindexbhm
