𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗩𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴! 🚀 Yesterday we took part in an event organised by Gründermotor. After an exciting and informative AI workshop of the Fraunhofer IAO 🤖, we went to the ARENA2036, where two startups had the opportunity to pitch in front of a group of industry experts and then had a discussion with Selina Lehmann from MAHLE New Ventures and Ronald Hotz from our team about the requirements and challenges of startup collaborations with corporates. 💡 Here are some of the key learnings: ➡️ Not every collaboration works right from the start. It requires commitment and resilience on both sides. ➡️ Working together to optimise the status quo enables win-win situations for both partners through the development of valuable products and cost savings on the user side. ➡️ Hands-on work on a PoC enables mutual growth. 🌟A Day at Station F: Where Ideas Meet Action” 🌟 What an exhilarating experience it was to step into Station F🚀 , the world's largest startup incubator, right in the vibrant heart of Paris. It's a place where dreams are nurtured🌱, and the future of technology is being written by today's brightest minds. Stepping into Station F transcended mere observation; it was an immersive journey of connection, enlightenment, and inspiration. My trip to Station F shattered the "great idea funding = success" myth 📈. These are table stakes for the startups. But scaling? That's a whole other level game. Having a unique value proposition is key 🔑, but retaining customers for your innovative product/service, finding and retaining the right talent with the right mindset 👥 , and staying ahead in a dynamic field like GenAI – that's the ultimate challenge. I had the pleasure of meeting with some of the most forward-thinking leaders in the industry. Conversations with Charles Doxuan, CMO @ Alcméon, Marin Champenois, CEO @Up&Charge, and Mehdi El Azhari, Founder & CEO @ Hyper Crunch AI were not just insightful—they were transformative. The latest Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) e.V. study, “Innovation through Cooperation,” reveals the significant potential of collaborations between companies and startups in the automotive sector. 🚀 Here are our key takeaways: Ever since the automotive industry is navigating significant hurdles, including the shift to electric drives and intensified global competition, there is a need for change. ▶ Collaboration is Key : Teaming up with innovative startups is essential for overcoming challenges and boosting Research & Development ▶ Boosting Innovation: Over half of companies (51%) have kickstarted product and process innovations through these partnerships, but there’s still room to grow ▶ Resource Struggles: Many companies (74%) struggle with a lack of resources and suitable partners, particularly insufficient personnel ▶ Partnership Challenges: Companies often face hurdles like doubts about startup maturity (67%) and limited financial resources (55%) ▶ Recommendations: The study suggests investing more in partnerships and showcasing successful examples to underline the benefits of working with startups That’s where prototype.club joins the game. We are proud to unveil the winners of EntertainmentLAB’s inaugural cohort: Outsight, Scenery, Wat Drink Je? and Neurogreen. EntertainmentLAB, launched in partnership with Startup.Flanders and Tomorrowland, with the support of Bundl | Corporate Venture Development and imec.istart, aims to position Flanders as a global innovation hub. The program challenges startups to tackle complex issues in the entertainment space by providing them with access to financial, human, and intellectual capital, along with a unique opportunity to test their concepts in real-world scenarios at a Tomorrowland event in 2024.   These startups will work alongside their respective corporate partners, Telenet, d&b group, and Brussels Airport, to develop a Proof of Concept and if successful, test their solutions in collaboration with Tomorrowland.
