MLK Always an inspiration. Today in this continent known as Australia its about taking a stand for Human Rights, urging transformative action, decolonisation of our First Nations Peoples , decolonisng our social institutions , all levels of government, media , faith groups, holding ourselves responsible for our cultural integrity & claiming self determination , for First Nations Peoples. Its about changing the false narratives & ending negative myth making by colonisers and later waves of immigrants and refugees whove been lied to about First Nations Peoples by successive governments and priviliged and racist decision makers and influencers in government, all media platforms and social institutions . Its about reinstating Truth, Calling out Racism, breaking down barriers through community education to counter discrimination, highlighting unmerited privilige over hard won equity. Working together for Structural Reform , cultural humility and trauma informed actions and responses to dismantle barriers and create strategic and diverse opportunities for First Nations Peoples This is hard and challenging work and must always be our priority in this country.

Today we celebrate the life and legacy of one of America's greatest civil rights leaders, Martin Luther King Jr. Known for his powerful speeches, nonviolent activism, and unwavering commitment to justice and equality, King made an indelible impact on American history and inspired millions of people around the world. On this day, we reflect on King's vision for a better society and recommit ourselves to the ongoing struggle for social justice. We remember the sacrifices made by the civil rights activists who came before us, and we honor their courage and determination. But we also acknowledge that there is still much work to be done.
