Exploring the Future of Google Search: Is the Giant Losing Its Edge? Is Google's search supremacy under threat? As users seek alternatives like #bing and DuckDuckGo due to perceived decline in reliability, the landscape is shifting. Startups like Perplexity and #ArcBrowser are leveraging generative AI, while younger generations turn to TikTok and Reddit, Inc. for more objective results. Concerns over Google's slow innovation and partial AI integration raise investor eyebrows, despite efforts like Search SE Generative Experience (SGE). Yet, with vast data and entrenched user habits, Google's dominance remains formidable. #Google #Search #AI #TechTrends #Perplexity #arcbrowser #bingsearch #microsoftai #generatieveai #chatgpt #search #searchengine #genai

Old habits die hard. The new AI-powered Bing struggles to gain market share in the Google-dominated search business. In July: • Bing had a 3% market share of search worldwide, the same share as in January before the new Bing's launch - Statcounter. • Bing had around 1% of Google's monthly visitors, around the same as in January - Similarweb. Despite much excitement around its launch, much has stayed the same. The article sums it up succinctly in a one-liner: "𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿." https://lnkd.in/gfKnEdNY #search #strategy #google

Many are saying that Google may be falling behind with their search engine; I don't think so. Even after the Bing #GPT initiative, Google still reigns supreme in the search engines realm: it's quarterly results (which are awesome, by the way) indicate that they still hold 93% of the market share, while Bing only has 3%. Things might change in the future, and new search engines like perplexity.ai are trying to shake things up. However, Google is not sitting idle either. They have been actively working on their own "search generative experience." I really think that Google still has a long way to go. After all, people "google" things, they don't "bing" them. Timely article from WIRED with #GoogleIO today This is very true from Jim Yu Founder of BrightEdge "The paradigm of search for the last 20 years has been that the search engine pulls a lot of information and gives you the links. Now the search engine does all the searches for you and summarizes the results and gives you a formative opinion.'” https://lnkd.in/eTvEvAtg

Google Search is soo extremely simple, yet soo much useful that even with Microsoft Bing having tons and tons of features, AI chat. It seems easy to search Google Search. I have been falling in love with edge browser having tons of features, but Bing Search needs to tremendously improve for being able to serve what people want to search instead of cutting with almost everything related to the search term. #Bing #Google #Edge #Microsoft

https://lnkd.in/ess2JK4S Not a replacement. Only ever complementary. Many similarities of course. The difference is in the specificity of search and results. More possibilities or few. Pros and Cons. Depends what a user is trying to achieve. Rather, this new delta is really about portal traffic. Hence the current Google and Microsoft competition.
Here’s why AI search engines really can’t kill Google

Not long ago, I had my bets on Bing carving out a slice of Google's market share. However, as we mark six months since the launch of the new AI-powered Bing with Bing Chat, market data paints a different picture. Despite Microsoft's assertions, Bing's global and U.S. market share have shown little movement, casting doubt on its ability to truly rival Google's search dominance. 🕵️♂️🔍 https://lnkd.in/d9pK4UrE #SearchEngines #MarketShare #BingVsGoogle
