National Fishing Remembrance Day Here at Wright Brothers, we deeply appreciate the sacrifices made by the remarkable individuals who courageously navigate challenging conditions at sea. This day allows us to collectively honour the memory of those who have tragically lost their lives at sea, affecting families, friends, and entire communities. We have been supporting The Fisherman’s Mission over the years, the national charity that provides emergency support alongside practical, financial, and emotional care to active and retired fishermen and their families. Their dedicated team provides 24-hour emergency response services to fishing vessels operating in UK waters, offering assistance in times of injury or loss at sea. To support this meaningful cause, for one week, we’ll add a voluntary one pound donation to your restaurant bill. Additionally, if ordering online via Wright Brothers At Home, there is the option to add one pound or more to your order. All proceeds will be donated to the Fishermen’s Mission. At Wright Brothers, we’re committed to educating ourselves and others about our sea to plate journey and what it truly signifies. Recently, Mike Warner, our British Seafood and Fisheries Ambassador, led an in-depth sustainability workshop. Together, we delved into various fishing methods, explored our rich history, and discussed future methods for protecting our communities and ecosystems. Just a few seats remain for our upcoming and incredibly exciting Seafood Supper Club, guided by Mike Warner, our British Seafood & Fisheries Ambassador for Wright Brothers. An evening that celebrates not only sustainable seafood, cooking methods and seasonal eating, but also pays homage to the dedicated fishing communities that make it all possible and to which we have built strong and lasting connections. This menu has been curated to highlight seasonal and super-sustainable, native fish and shellfish. We’ll explore the fascinating world of oysters and mussels, true eco-heroes of filtering our oceans - the story of where our adventures began over 20 years ago with the Miet oysters and savour our stunning Shetland mussels, pickled, with homemade, liquor-mopping soda bread. We’ll celebrate the return of wild bass season, with sparkling, just-landed, rod and line fish from our boats on the South Coast and discover the meaningful impact it has on our local fishing communities and their sustainability.
