Great share! God bless America!
We used to have to know this for history. Then again in 8th grade US history and then in 11th grade US history again.. AH that was always the easy answers... also how many stripes and what they meant. Sigh . Guess they aren't teaching any more. SAD!

3wThank you for this informative lession.regarding our flag I ask grown up Americans how many stars are currently sewn on our flag. Some reply 48 stars. Been 50 stars since August 1959 when President Dwight D Eisenhower signed the proclamation adding Hawaii. I were 14. Years old. How sad we take this symbol of our freedom and way of life so lightly. When my parents arrived in New York city harbor in 1937 ,the statue of liberty was a dream never to be forgotten., by my Mom and Dad. " Give me your tired, your poor your wretched refuse of your teaming shore....."
