One of the awesome moments of connecting great people to great companies that gets you pumped about what you do. More details to follow on the how, but this candidate is actually a former pastry chef and Lune wanting to shift into the financial world, but wasn't getting a foot in the door. Luckily a growing Fintech Company wanted increase hiring/screening accuracy through more effective ways to hire, and partnered with Ploomo. You don't have to do things the same way. The best teams are built on a foundation of people who are positively, and internally motivated to contribute to achieving a common goal. we have job openings 24/7 365. i never post about them on linkedin. “hey, i have a job open” every day for a decade probably won't do much. but this is a big one. big enough for my first, "hey, i have a job" post. our company directly competes with 20,000 other companies that make and sell alcoholic beverages. none of us really have much of an advantage - this business scales down pretty nicely so while abi/mcbc certainly has economic advantages over your local brewery, your local brewery has a (consumer&customer) narrative advantage over abi/mcbc. so it comes down to team. the best team will win. while every manager is responsible for the hires they make, nobody will have a larger impact on the quality of our team than our director of talent. if you know someone who might fit this role, please send me a note. or apply: https://lnkd.in/eVuGu5b7

3️⃣6️⃣of 5️⃣2️⃣ Reason 36: Coffee, cake and catch-ups! Each month, we take the time to get away from our desks and get to know one another a little better. We go for a walk with colleagues we wouldn’t normally get the chance to speak to. Some of us opt to stay in the office and sit on the sofas, or head out into our garden area 🌱 To make the catch-ups even sweeter, there’s usually a slice of cake and a cup of tea or coffee ☕ When was the last time you took some time out to get to know your colleagues? How about getting in touch for a chat with us over a cuppa, to discuss any roles we may have that are perfect for you? Head to our careers page to find out more and register your interest 👉 https://bit.ly/3OvNDuX #CatchUp #Coffee #Careers #MakingMarketLeaders

We are hiring. Candidly, I struggle with these posts. I started out writing something with my own spin on "why we are great". I didn't like it, it felt forced. So, I'm going a different route talking about why I'm at Pampered Chef, in hopes that you (or someone you know) wants to be a part of our journey too. Here's a few things that make me smile ... 1. I fundamentally love what I do. Our team gets to design and build digital product solutions that (hopefully) make peoples lives easier. Spoiler - it doesn't always work like we hope. We get to dig into difficult problems and try to be creative. We have to think through many priorities, and it is not simple. But I love the process of it, and while it can be tough, the impact you can make genuinely makes me happy. 😁 2. I love who I work with. I genuinely see the application of "love what you do" come out every single day. People here want what's best for the people we serve, so we work through those challenges. I get challenged by our team, my peers, and everyone throughout the org. It's hard, but I appreciate it because it gets me to think in ways I may not have, even if I don't always see it right away. #growth 😉 3. I love who we serve. Our teams get to try to figure out how to solve hard problems for business owners and home chefs alike. We don't always get it right, but it doesn't stop us from trying. There are no straightforward solutions, but isn't that half the fun? I get to talk to people who run their own businesses selling Pampered Chef, and their passion is infectious. I love our purpose, and I'm so happy we can help be a part of something that impacts so many lives in ways great and small. 👩🍳 All that being said, I'm honestly so pleased our company is in a position to hire great people in the first place knowing that isn't the case everywhere. Here's a link to our open Software Architect role, but there are others too! (tech non-tech) Would love to have you join us! #softwareengineering #engineering #innovation #hiring https://lnkd.in/g6tdzaBV

‘It’s not personal’ A phrase I’ve heard many times in my career most notably when I was made redundant from my job last year. I loved my job, don’t get me wrong it wasn’t perfect but what job is. It had its flaws and it’s challenges but working with some amazing people doing what you are passionate about, how could you not love it. A coworker once told me ‘you care too much’ and it’s something I’ve thought about for a long time. What is it that made them think that & why did they see that as a bad thing. And then it clicked, I care too much because the job is personal. It is personal in the relationships you make, in the experiences you have and the skills you take away with you. Today marks the one year anniversary of my new role. I took a position in a much smaller company with the hope that I would be able to continue to do what I am passionate about while motivating others. It’s been an absolute blast of a year having the autonomy to run my own business topped off with record breaking sales weeks & publications in the local press. I have achieved this by making it personal with the support of my team and locals & with the flexibility of the company to run with my ideas through trust & mutual respect. Hard work is valued & by the people that matter. Not the nameless faceless corporation but the coffee group that comes in every Wednesday morning because that is the only time they will see anyone else that week, or the bartender showing their passion for cocktails by developing the drinks menu, or seeing the team pull together and thrive from a shift that is royally kicking their arse. For these reasons the role will always be personal to me and I will always care that little bit too much… #hospitality #pub #smallbusiness #independant #team #local #northyorkshire
