During the inaugural Strong Women Strong World field trip to Zambia, Tammy Medard was inspired by the courage of the Zambian women and communities. “Being part of this group has really given me a sense of personal strength.” she said. “It also reminded me to not just think of myself and my family, but also the community.” Find out more about Strong Women Strong World, a collective of Australian women who are committed to empowering girls and women in the toughest places. Happy Women's Day! Every day is an opportunity to celebrate the social, cultural, economic, and political achievements of women, but today is an even special occasion to acknowledge their impact, the role they play, and the work that lies ahead. Women #entrepreneurs, for instance, play a crucial role in driving economic growth, particularly in Africa, where their #businesses create jobs and alleviate poverty. Let's keep empowering women to thrive and create positive change on this International Women's Day and every other day. #impactinvesting #socialchange #womenempowerment

We all have women in our lives. As mothers, aunts, sisters, wives, colleagues, friends, and mentors. These women do so much that goes unnoticed and underappreciated. Hence, this IWD 2024, SocialGood Lagos is launching the #SGLIWDSpotlight to shine the spotlight on special women who hold a spot in our lives. We hope that by bringing attention to their accomplishments, innovations, and leadership, we can foster a more equitable and dynamic society. Spotlighting female change-makers has become crucial for promoting diversity and inspiring others. To nominate a woman, kindly use the link https://bit.ly/SGLIWD24

Women’s Day is all about celebrating the women who strived for change in South Africa. That’s why we’re dedicating this Women’s Day to all of the women of the nation who follow in the footsteps of those before them, and never stop working for positive change in our country. 🇿🇦❤️ #digitalmarketing #digitalmarketingagency #womensday #nationalwomensday

We are a female-led agency that has been committed to uplifting and upskilling women across all industries for over 15 years. Saying that, it is vital to recognise that the issues facing women globally extend far beyond a hashtag or a post. Acknowledging that even as inclusive companies we are only a very small part in this allows us to direct our efforts where they are most effective - including highlighting those issues facing women in other parts of the world who won't be seeing these posts. These 5 key areas of action from the UN should emphasise that there are areas we do/can contribute towards, but that only a global effort committed to material change - as well as vital awareness - can make a real difference. We would encourage that, however small, making contributions to organisations such as the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), as we as a company have done today, are an additional step that can help bring real change into the lives of women and girls in need of support: https://lnkd.in/et_x6ehC #internationalwomensday

Women belong to all aspects of society, and this year’s theme “Inspire Inclusion” emphasizes the importance of including women. With the Nourishing Crop, Better Farmer initiative, we are championing the empowerment of women in cocoa communities. Here's why this matters: Because when women thrive, cocoa thrives. Together, we're creating a future where women are empowered, cocoa is sustainable, and Africa is nourished. #herstory #iwd #iwd2024 #inspireinclusion #inspireinclusion2024

When women lead, we all succeed. A more sustainable, equitable future for Africa is possible—but it requires prioritizing equity starting at the top, meaning more women in public leadership roles. How can we do this? 📊 Rely on data 💡 Look at barriers from a multidimensional approach Great opinion piece in Devex:

INSPIRE INCLUSION 🖐🏾 I am really excited about International Women's Day (IWD) 2024 especially with its theme being "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress". There are five key areas needing joint actions according to the UN for this IWD. 1. Investing in women, a human rights issue. 2. Ending Poverty. 3. Implementing a gender-responsive financing 4. Shifting to a green economy and care society. 5. Supporting female change-makers. I am a firm believer that there is so much more to the woman than what meets the eye. We have the capacity to enact change and make profound impacts. The International commemoration is on the 8th of March, however, the month of March is Women's Month. Feel free to empower, celebrate, and inspire women all month long and even after. #inspireinclusion #investinwomen
