World Meteorological Organization’s Post

🇺🇳 As António Guterres says, climate change is driving temperatures to record highs across the globe, putting millions of lives and livelihoods at risk. 🌍 But it's not too late to save ourselves and our planet with urgent #ClimateAction 🌐 The WMO community works hard with many partners to strengthen heat-health action plans and early warnings. But we also need to tackle the root cause and urgently reduce greenhouse gas levels, which remain at record observed levels.

Why do you need a politician who has never done any scientific study to promote this alarmist nonsense? Who behind the scenes is telling you to say this stuff? It is certainly not very helpful and is pretty much climate propaganda to alarm human beings.

Yesterday, July 25th, in Edmonton, the high managed to briefly reach 18.6 C. Overnight low was 11 C. So either the liberals turned off our heat or the global boiling cooker got turned off for some reason. Maybe there was't enough gas to keep the furnace running, and since we had so much cloud cover, there wasn't enough sunshine for the solar panels to take over.

Seems like a normal summer , here in the mojave desert. Personally I could care less what the globalist puppet has to say. Try to adapt maybe. The climate has been changing for 3 billion years , and all of human history occurs in one of the smallest , coolest troughs in the timeline.

Not everywhere. Certainly not. This summer's highest local temp 23 C; 2019's highest: 32 C. Here it seems to be colder. Repeating it more will not make it true.

The only thing that will save the planet is to give us all of your money, stop traveling, stop eating, don't heat or cool your home. Only the wealthy should be allowed those things. If we end all fossil fuel use today, this minute, it will eliminate 4% of total CO2 input. Total CO2 currently is 0.04% of our atmosphere. So you can only imagine the dramatic impact of eliminating 4% of 0.04%. It is Totally worth impoverishment of all of mankind. Well almost all, there will still be those who collected all the money.

I can’t remember when the temperature was this low in Houston for so long at this time of the year. Anyway, here’s one for Antonio and his fellow alarmists https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_gtGfAail4&ab_channel=TheHeimatdamisch

Where can I buy a "WMO-WHO-UN-ALGORE-Gretta" approved thermometer for home? Mine keeps showing consistently lower than predicted temperatures. I must indoctrinate my neighbours and workmates with forced data instead of truth. Please help me.

This is why we must emphasize the importance of qualified Emergency Managers (distinct from emergency services and response). They should have undergone specialized studies in hazards and disasters, be adequately resourced, and authorized to fulfill their crucial role in developing systems to prevent or mitigate disasters while advocating for vulnerable communities. Communities can no longer afford to appoint unqualified individuals to these positions just to check a box. It's undeniable that these events will persist, and we require specialists with evaluated knowledge. Emergency Management is a unique discipline, on the path to professionalization. We should treat it accordingly and demand more from our governments. These are the professionals who educate and empower communities in alignment with the Principles of Emergency Management. #EmergencyManagement #Professionalism
