This is heartbreaking! I feel helpless seeing how our colleagues and people in #Gaza face this and all the brutal attacks! These people have been already suffering for over 75 years, with number of esclations over the years (2006, 2007, 2008, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018…etc) until it ends with this in 2023! Treating Gaza like an open air prison, and banning them from accessing aid is not acceptable by the all definitions of #humanity! I would like to point that we are not looking at the worst condition of people in Gaza, even if they do not have enough food, drink only half a liter of water a day, do not have the minimum basic rights of latrines, roof on top of their heads or clothes that prevent them from cold in these rough nights! Why this is not the worst we can look at? Because in the same place (Gaza) parents are literally collecting their children’s parts in wastebags, as one harsh and heavy hearted example among hundreds of other examples, photages, videos and stories that prevented me from sleeping at night for weeks now! #winteriscoming, and it has been already harsh on people in Gaza in their regular days, so I cannot imagine what will it be like going forward! #GazaUnderAttack

Do we need to develop our communities? Are we ready yet? In my country, Sudan, people suffer from the heavy burden of human conflicts in its ugliest form; they have been engaged in war since the 15th of April. We need the concepts and skills of community development to be understood and believed in by our people for more collaboration, coalition, diversity acceptance, development engagement, and, more importantly, acceptance of differences. 💡 Can children playing in a cemetery give us hope? Children in Gaza playing amidst the graves serves as a stark representation of their reality, where the innocence of childhood is juxtaposed with the presence of death and conflict. It's a powerful image that underscores the severity of the situation in Gaza and how it affects the youngest and most vulnerable. Having conducted the Dream On, India! activity with children in the Jammu area, I know that children, who are particularly vulnerable to the effects of war and unrest, face a grim future. That said, the children of Gaza can be seen as beacons of hope in several ways: 💪 Resilience: Despite the adversity they face, children often display remarkable resilience, which inspires communities to strive for a better future. ✊ Potential for Change: Children embody the potential for change and progress. A way forward so starving people can be fed: The USA should be removed from the UN Security Council for aiding and abetting genoc!de. As a terrorist occupying force, I$rael should be cut off from the $14 Billion plus welfare that it receives annually from Uncle Sam (and our taxes). The US actively opposes the security of Palestinian civilians and should no longer sit on the UNSC with over-riding, abused, veto power. There is a mechanism for removal of “Security” Council members whose nations fail by promoting genocide. Article 6 of the UN Charter allows for any member of the UN to be expelled – even if they sit on the Security Council – for persistently violating the principles of the United Nations. The General Assembly should unite on this point and remove the USA from the UN, for the good of all. Let us move the UN headquarters, fund the UN independently, and admit First Nations (Native American nations and others) to the new UN! As a US citizen, I do not support my nation’s genoc!dal ways. Conflict-induced hunger in #Gaza is reaching unbearable levels, pushing children into malnutrition and starvation. The sheer scale of suffering is heartbreaking. An estimated 59 kids are expected to die every day in northern Gaza due to starvation and related issues, according to the IPC’s most recent findings. Behind each statistic lies a story of a child and their family fighting for survival.   Inaction is a political act. The safety, protection and well-being of all civilians, especially children, must be the priority of all parties in accordance with international humanitarian law, including protection against indiscriminate violence, use of tactics depriving them of the means to cover their essential necessities, forced displacement and vigilante justice. A ceasefire should urgently be implemented. Life-saving aid must reach children and their families whose lives have been shattered by months (and years) of suffering. 🕊️ #ENOUGH #CeasefireNow
