Women in Rail are thrilled to announce that Network Rail, one of our Platinum Corporate Members, has been recognised as one of the Times Top 50 Employers for Gender Equity for the fourth consecutive year! This achievement is a significant milestone and reflects their unwavering commitment to creating a workplace where everyone, regardless of gender, can thrive and succeed. ๐–๐ก๐ฒ ๐“๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐Œ๐š๐ญ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ: Gender equity ensures diverse perspectives, innovation, and creates a more inclusive environment for all employees. It means that everyone has equal opportunities to advance and contribute! ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐‰๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ง๐ž๐ฒ:ย Over the past year, Network Rail launched several initiatives to promote gender equity, including: - ๐Œ๐ž๐ง๐จ๐ฉ๐š๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž ๐’๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐›๐ฒย launching a Menopause Toolkit and updated their โ€˜EDI Guideโ€™ to support menopause in the workplace. - ย ๐๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐จ๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ๐ฌ: Introduced free period products at all work locations through the Bloody Good Employers Accreditation and support from their Gender Equity employee led network (Inspire) - ย ๐๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐ง๐š๐ง๐œ๐ฒ ๐‹๐จ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ฅ๐ž๐๐ ๐ž: Signed the Pregnancy Loss Pledge, updated Baby Loss guidance, and revised miscarriage leave to include five days of additional paid leave for both parents. These steps have provided vital support to colleagues and improved the workplace at Network Rail.
