After digesting the data that came out of the Workplace Gender Equality Agency report yesterday, it is clear that we still have a long way to go in bridging the gender pay gap. Of those that reported, 50% had a gender pay gap higher than 9.1%. As recruiters we have a part to play in this. We should be proactively coaching, advocating for and supporting female candidates on their career development journeys. We can also create platforms or forums for industry leaders to discuss strategies and solutions to accelerate the closing of the gap. u&u.
