Hi there Maybe some of you have seen or heard something about this exhibition : " Fabric and related industries " It was held from the 9th to the 12th of September 2023. Tonight I want to share some ideas about it : It was the first time to hold this exhibition and because of that, it involved limited companies. So about the diversity of the participants: I should say that it could be much better. Exhibitions like this involve 2 main points : 1️⃣for companies: knowing and analyzing the other firms or making work agreements. 2⃣for people who take part in it (like students): Getting information about their needs and new technologies. For the first one, it is obvious that you need professional employees and sales managers to do their best. But for the second one companies need not only an experienced one who is good at his job but also a tolerant person who can explain things very well. It will have a huge positive effect on them which are your potential customers! So Don't pass through it easily maybe your future associates or good employees are coming to you! 😉

Last Thursday we organised the fourth edition of our “Scaling to Germany” webinar with Business Metropole Ruhr GmbH During this 1.5 hour power session, our 2 experts Peter van Harten and Martijn Plessers shared their experiences entering the German market. We discussed concrete tips and tricks on how to be as successful as possible and mitigate unnecessary risks. Some of the key learnings: ✅ “Having local people on the ground is key for connecting to your potential clients.” Germany is a country that works very trust-based. Make sure that you have people who speak and breathe the culture so that your future customers and partners feel safe to do business with you. ✅ “Germany is not always Germany.” A key factor that you have to keep in mind when entering Germany is that you will first have to segment it in different geographical areas to make sure that you are as close as possible to your customer base. This way, the market will feel more at ease and less anxious. ✅ “Do your research before entering the market.” Cold-calling can work, but Germany is not the easiest place to do this. A tip is to go to trade fairs, conferences, webinars, …. to bridge the unknown and so that it is easier for you to get in contact with people. A big thank you to Business Metropole Ruhr GmbH for partnering with us again and also to Peter van Harten and Martijn Plessers to open up about your experience entering the German market!
