I'm in Rome, it's January 23, and I’m at the CRUI - Fondazione CRUI per le Università Italiane with Minister of Universities and Research, Anna Maria Bernini, right in front of me. I'm here to hear the reform proposals that the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions & Cities has prepared and wishes to present to the #MUR to help universities improve how they exchange knowledge and collaborate with society (what a challenge!). In my small role, or rather in my tiny part, I feel a sense of satisfaction in realizing that I have also contributed through the #ITACON project to what Raffaele Trapasso is proposing to the Minister. Beyond the proposed reforms, I realize something very important: Italy believes in this. Italy believes that the University can keep up with change. It believes that academic programs can become more transdisciplinary. It believes that businesses and academia can increasingly speak the same language. It believes that the University can truly embody the essence of its name, "Universitas", which means Openness. Yesterday we didn't discussed about technology innovation, we talked about #Policy #Innovation and how these policies could be implemented by the MUR to enhance the university's ability to exchange knowledge with society. I would have liked to meet people who believe in this as much as I do earlier, but I also understand that those who no longer believe are demoralized caused of a system that has crushed them. But things will change, I promise! Take a look 👇

Time-sensitive for Thursday, 8/17/23: Calling all Keck Graduate Institute champions, I am in the Bay Area for tonight's #kgiinthebay event with KGI Alumni and Friends and find myself without any meetings today due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances. May I come visit you at work and do a 30-minute intro to #KGI for those of your colleagues who may want to learn more? For KGI's interests, I would especially love to speak to folks needing to add #pharmd #talent without wanting to add to headcount (we can discuss our Fellowships program) in areas including #medicalscienceliaison, #medicalsciencewriting, #regulatoryaffairs, and other roles. Additionally, our current #masters are expressing a lot of interest in #regulatoryaffairs, so that's especially compelling. We can, of course, discuss all #lifesciencetalent and #biotechtalent needs and #retainingtalent with our #corporateeducation programs and how #KGI can help! And of course, hope to see you tonight! https://lnkd.in/g-F2cmXQ
