🔄 The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) published its draft „Nationale Kreislaufwirtschaftsstrategie“ (NKWS), setting out guidelines and criteria for a sustainable circular economy. 💡 In the run-up to this, representatives from industry, trade unions, associations, science and administration had the opportunity to help shape this as stakeholders with their own ideas and suggestions in a joint dialogue process with the federal government. During the Seminar “Capture the future: evolution and technologies for decarbonization”, Ecospray announced the finalization of its first two #CarbonCapture technologies for the maritime sector. The two solutions are based on chemical absorption, specifically with amines or calcium hydroxide. The new technologies will be available on the market as of Q1 2024 and will enable the capture of up to 80% of the CO2 emitted during ship operation in specific conditions. Orion Engineered Carbons - Carbon For Polymers & Plastics is to spend €12.8 million to further develop and demonstrate a climate-neutral process for producing carbon black from renewable sources.
