Led a project focused on enhancing the efficiency of wastewater treatment by implementing a robust parameter monitoring system for discharge water. In collaboration with industry standards set by the Central Environmental Authority (CEA), the project aimed to streamline the process of monitoring key parameters in treated water, crucial for compliance. Recognizing the time constraints associated with traditional laboratory experiments, the project addressed the need for real-time parameter values. By revitalizing a dormant parameter monitoring system in the treatment plant, we sought to bridge the gap in obtaining instantaneous data, enabling swift actions to maintain water quality within prescribed standards. The project also emphasized the significance of a continuous discharge water monitoring system as a prerequisite for securing Environmental Protection Licenses (EPL) in highly variable wastewater treatment plants. Excited about contributing to sustainable water management practices and environmental compliance. #WastewaterTreatment #EnvironmentalMonitoring #Sustainability

🚰 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐰𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐔𝐩𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞🚰 In the tri-state area of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York, significant strides are being made in wastewater operations and maintenance, reflecting a collective focus on environmental stewardship and public health. 🌎 For example, the NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION (NJDEP) updated the Stormwater Management Rules in 2020, requiring municipalities to incorporate green infrastructure into major development projects, while New Jersey's urban areas are working towards controlling their sewer systems, with a focus on addressing legacy water infrastructure issues like lead service line replacement and combined sewer overflows.🚰 👉 https://lnkd.in/eVxN3SRk In New York, the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) manages operator certification and renewal for wastewater facility operations. This initiative assures the operation, maintenance, and management of wastewater facilities, with New York municipalities having invested over $11 billion in their construction. 👷♂️ 👉 https://lnkd.in/eAWyCUR5 In Pennsylvania, the Bureau of Clean Water administers a broad wastewater management program, covering activities like National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permitting, compliance monitoring, and sewage facility planning. 🌊 👉 https://lnkd.in/e-gi5bHU 💡 The concerted efforts across these states demonstrate a real paradigm shift towards more sustainable and resilient wastewater management. For industry professionals, these developments highlight the importance of staying abreast of policy changes and technological advancements to effectively contribute to and benefit from these evolving practices. #WastewaterManagement #EnvironmentalProtection #StormwaterInfrastructure #NJDEP #GreenInfrastructure #WaterQuality #UrbanWaterSystems #NYWEA #PublicHealth #WaterTreatment #PAWater #SustainableDevelopment #ClimateResilience #WaterInnovation #EcoFriendlyInfrastructure #WastewaterTreatment #CleanWaterInitiative #InfrastructureInvestment #RegionalWaterManagement #EnvironmentalStewardship
