On the mission to help 10,000 People Pass CAPM/PMP by 1st Try ⬇️ | Available for 1:1 Coaching | Passion=Project Mngt. | Best Practice Into Action
Program Manager vs Project Coordinator Why? In the past one week I noticed, there are companies who are hiring for Program manager role, but job description explain a Project Coordinator role. It is strange 🤔 But, it shows that every company interpret Best Practices differently. A project coordinator has less authority and power compared with project manager. A program manager orchestrate a group of project which are serving the same strategy goal. Project management is all about clarity, ownership and communication. #projectmanagement

It's been 1 month since I started my new job as a Project Manager at a billion-dollar tech company. Here are 5 things I have learned in my new role so far: 1. Communication is Key: Effective communication with team members ensures everyone is on the same page. 2. Clarity in Objectives: Clearly defining the project objectives, scope, and deliverables from the onset helps prevent misunderstandings and ensures everyone understands what needs to be accomplished. 3. Planning is Crucial: Thorough planning, including setting timelines, allocating resources, and identifying potential risks, lays the foundation for the project’s success. 4. Stakeholder Engagement is Important: Keeping stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle builds trust, manages expectations, and increases support for project initiatives. 5. Continuous Improvement is Necessary: Regularly evaluating project progress, soliciting feedback, and implementing lessons learned allow for continuous improvement and optimization of project processes. Bonus tip: Prioritizing tasks and setting deadlines is also essential. If you are a Project Manager, I would love to hear what you’ve learned so far in your journey. Everyone thinks they can project manage - and to some degree, it is often true. We project manage life and our social friendship circle. From a career perspective, if you've ever worked in a client facing role - being a multi tasker is something you already do. However, doing the role full time - all day and every day is a skill set that takes guts with no glory. There is no harm done if PM life does not suit ones personality. At least you can say you've tried. #projectmanagement #projectmanager #softskills #selfawareness #lifeasaprojectmanager
Another reason project manager job is not for you. If you don't like or don't know how to lead multiple projects at the same time. Most project managers juggle their time between more than one project at any given time. Moreover, most new project manager jobs expect you to know how to manage multiple projects at the same time. If you are not ready, reconsider your decision to take a project manager job. ♻ Repost if you agree.
