Recently I had the chance to attend a product lunch meeting of Sona Boron DAP. Many questions are raised by the farmers and fellows about soil type , soil pH , etc But I was wondering about the why ? why is it needed to make Sona DAP except they said it will save farmers money about 500 Rs. Can anyone guess more benefits? 1. what you wanna say about soil pH and use of these fertilizer?? 2. what is the effect of Soil type (Sandy soil, Clay soils) 3. What should be the range of organic matter in your soils to respond to any kind of these products?

How much fertilizer do I need to apply? Once you have your soil test, it's time to look at your crop plan. You will want to note that your next years crop will be, as well as, what your expected yield goal is. Also, keep track of any legume credits from last years crop or cover crop. Now, you will be able to figure your nutrient deficit and what you will need for the upcoming season. Next, it's time to decide on fertilizer formula, application method, and timing. Now alot of time we are at the mercy of what the local retailer offers for method. But at Amplify Ag Illinois, one of our goals is to connect growers to local custom applicators. This can give some freedom to the method and timing.
