The galas, It was quite an eventful night. I had the moment to catch up with people on meaningful convos. It was also a time to showcase one's aesthetic moves on the dance floor. 🕺💃 I had dart game challenge with a colleague [a fellow soldier in the field in another city]. The major highlight of the night for me was the presentation of awards, while it may seem like a night of fun and entertainment, there's actually a lot of value in gala night hosted by companies. I gained the following insights: 🤳Awarding your staff is an important way to show them that their efforts are valued and appreciated. It's also a great way to motivate them to continue performing at their best. 🤳When employees feel recognized and rewarded for their hard work, they're more likely to feel invested in the company's success and motivated to do their best. 🤳It also help create a positive work culture, where employees feel encouraged and supported. And, of course, the recognition can go a long way towards making your employees feel good about themselves and their contributions. And these can lead to better collaboration, increased productivity, and a stronger sense of teamwork. You need to see the moments I captured below. 😁 Dear Chemical and Allied Products Plc My Kindest Regards for the opportunity. 🙏🏽

Embracing change and being agile are the key drivers of our teams aiming to achieve our business goals. Divisional CEO for our tire reinforcement business Annie Xu-Huhmann acknowledged the team for their bold actions in establishing the new possible for our customers. #EstablishingTheNewPossible #BetterTogether
Two weeks ago, we celebrated the outstanding achievements of 2023, as part of an award ceremony, to recognize the contributions of our team, and to encourage everyone to take the extra miles. The awards were designed to honor our teams who have gone above and beyond in their roles, contributing to the success of our business unit in meaningful ways in customer impact, innovation, safety, and diversity. Each of the winning teams has demonstrated exceptional dedication, teamwork, and expertise in their work, making a tangible impact. I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to each of the nominations. Your hard work and commitment have not gone unnoticed, and it is a privilege to work alongside all of you. I am excited to see how our team will establish the new possible in the year ahead! 🚀 #EstablishingTheNewPossible #BetterTogether

President at Hughes Customat, Inc. 2nd Generation Family Business Operator. Providing Mat Service in St. Louis since 1974.
Congratulations!!! I've mentioned Performance Matters in previous posts. I've also mentioned Steve and Currie. To say these guys are amazing at what they do doesn't begin to describe just how great they are. I met Steve and Currie for the first time not long after they started with Performance Matters. Any past experience our company had with consulting companies was less than positive and at the time my mind hadn't opened enough to learn more about their unique services. However, they both knew long before I could see it that Performance Matters and Hughes Customat, Inc. would eventually be working together. The work we are doing with Performance Matters is having a profound effect on how we are operating our business and for me on a personal level -and over a relatively short period of time. I've been the president of our company since 2017 but I never actually believed myself to be an actual "leader" until recently. These two and their own leadership skills and styles are big part in this There's a team behind Steve and Currie (Gary, Caleb, and more to add soon), but it all started for our company with them. I can't thank them enough. Currie - for your patience and for getting to know me personally and learn about our business and the challenges we have. Steve - for allowing me to share details regarding some really difficult things and situations (business and personal)- without judgement. The passion (and compassion) these two have for small independent laundries is indescribable. I look so forward to our work ahead. Congratulations to both Steve Royals, MBA and Currie Gilbert on your first 10 years with Performance Matters. If anyone were to attempt to list all the contributions you both are making to the Industrial Laundry industry, some would surely be missed - there are that many! Though I don't know you in other industries or roles, in my opinion you both seem to have found your perfect fit in what you do. #smallbusiness #shoplocal #mats
10 years ago we took a good thing and made it even better. We added these two amazing people to our team, and the industry is better for it. We want to take this opportunity to show our appreciation for their contributions to the industry, their dedication to our team, and their humble service to literally hundreds of people in our circle of friends. Best of all, it appears they are just getting started. #performancematters

Sales Ops & Enablement Leader. Using data and insights to drive revenue growth | Sales Enablement 'One to Watch' 2023 | 2 x President's Club | Content is often my own perspective
Focus on the behaviours and the objectives will follow. Before he heads out for a balmy weekend, wanted to congratulate Gary Brown for his much deserved recognition within our Circle of Excellence programme. It's our version of #presidentsclub and only the very best performers are eligible. Gary's success is as a result of maintaining three core behaviours: exceptional internal networking, tirelessly supporting his team to succeed, and a continual customer centric attitude. -------------- I first learnt the above lesson from Paul Abbott. He was presenting at an employee development session and his message was clear. Over deliver on your #competencies. Sometimes, objectives are difficult to close. That's the reality. Especially when there are increasing dependencies and/or resource allocation challenges. But you can control your behaviours. Focus on those and in time, the results will follow. #salesexcellence #salesleadership #sales

In 2023, I earned an MiQ Value Award in my region - voted by my colleagues - for MiQ’s core value of Courage: “We dare to think unconventionally.” I’m sure a lot of companies do these annual awards and it is generally a nice way to build morale… but I have to say, it meant a lot to me. Why, you may ask? Because in January last year, 10 days before I returned from maternity leave, I found out that I’d be returning to a whole new company. If I’m being honest, I didn’t know what to think. The months that followed cycled through hurt, confusion, indifference, excitement, stress, happiness, fear, and more excitement as I settled into my new home at MiQ: a company I knew little about but had to learn quickly for the sake of myself, my family, my team, and my partners - all of whom I care about greatly. We’re approaching a year since the integration, and last January feels so far away to me - as do many of those emotions. I’m proud to be at a company that provides my partners with more capabilities and solutions than I’ve ever been able to offer. And I’m excited to be able to use my creative brain every day. That’s really what I love most about my career. The opportunity to think big and get creative. The chance to find ways to use data and functionality to develop unique media programs that bring value to brands and their consumers. The days I get to do that are my best and favorite days. And how funny is it, that despite the fact I work in a satellite office and we don’t get to see each other often - my colleagues still noticed that this brings me joy? How lucky am I to work somewhere that my coworkers notice these little things - that they notice I do dare to think unconventionally? And for that, it meant a lot. Everything happens for a reason. #wearemiq

Yesterday we launched Nominations, a new add-on product built to streamline Nomination Programs from start to finish! 🙌🏽 Doing "Employee of the Month" or "Core Value Winner" awards are ubiquitous ways to highlight top performers as nominated by their peers however, historically this has been a very manual process for the HR team. Not anymore! With Nominations you can: - Open a Nomination event - Capture votes/responses - Review votes and select a winner or winners - Share recognition with all who received votes (even the non-winners) - Automatically generate a winner slide for your Townhall or All-Hands meeting This is a total game changer 🚀 Link in comments to learn more!

This tip may seem simple, but so many companies miss it. Be a workplace that celebrates your wins!... When your company gains a new client, launches a successful project, or meets a quarterly goal, take the time to acknowledge and celebrate it. A huge party is great - but isn’t necessary. Your celebration could be as simple as a congratulatory email, a verbal shout-out, or a “wine and cheese, o-clock.” When you celebrate successes, it instills the value of those successes in your team members. There are so many workplaces that try to find people doing things wrong. Be the workplace that finds people doing things right. Why? Because you always get more of what you focus on.
