One thing that has always baffled me is why we place so much more emphasis on candidates leaving roles than we do on employee retention & attrition. If I was a candidate I would want to know how many employees were retained past the 2-year mark. And of those that left, how many were replaced. It's just not a question I'm often asked by candidates, about prospective employers. It doesn't feel fair that we analyse CVs to see how much a candidate has job-hopped, how long they've stayed in a role and if there are any gaps. But we don't shine the same torch on employers.
