In one of the sessions of the Communication Skills program, we were allowed to introduce ourselves. So, one by one we went by turn to share our inputs. There was no restriction to share. Hence, we could share anything, about our life, future, dreams, neighbours, wish lists and plans. It was interesting to listen and learn as each one was unique and informative.
While we were taking time to share there was someone who wanted to introduce themselves. The trainer provided the time for the participant. As soon as the introduction started happening, we could witness that the participant couldn't proceed further because she was in tears.
Something stopped her, something was her barrier, something was her past and she couldn't move forward. One is her experience about life and the main cause of the tears was that she couldn't communicate in English fluently.
So, each one of us has to jump in and make her understand that English is only a language and not a Mt. Everest to conquer. But she couldn't believe it. It took 30 minutes for her to calm down and proceed further.
The reason for all of this was a lack of communication skills which curbs her freedom and peace and allows her to go through the challenging situation.
We realised how important is #communication skills for people. Even though it's a common and casual thing for human beings because the very essence of human beings exists from communication.
When communication is a barrier, it will not allow anyone to grow. We will be in a deep pit wanting to achieve many things but none of them could be accomplished as that's an undoable task for many, at least that's what many of them feel and believe. Hence it's our responsibility to make sure that communication skills are not a major challenge but something easy and able to accomplish. We have the next workshop happening on comfortable Sundays. If you feel anyone could be transformed, please do share and help them move forward away from the obstacles and they can create the best future with freedom, peace and happiness.
