I'm looking forward to participating in this panel discussion in May! As a young professional who was empowered by experienced mentors who treated me as a valued peer, I am so appreciative of vision-focused leadership where the opportunity to learn from people with different perspectives, no matter what age or background, is embraced. Smart leaders live with a growth mindset and know there is always more to be learned.
✨ We're thrilled to announce our partnership with Surry County Economic Development Partnership and the Foothills Young Professionals for this fantastic event! Looking forward to collaborating and making it a success. RSVP HERE: https://lnkd.in/gCgf9i6k

love seeing the wisdom of former students out there... Austin Harrison "Memphians should resolve to do what they can to push our local leaders to make Memphis a city that chooses people first. This means holding out-of-town slumlords accountable to ensure they are providing livable and sanitary conditions, especially those slumlords using local, state, or federal housing subsidies. This means reorienting our economic development strategies to foreground Black neighborhoods and other working class communities in order to close our racial wealth gap. This means expanding our existing public Pre-K program to include all families. This means reimagining the way our city views local law enforcement and (most importantly) the way local law enforcement view us. This means so much more, but most importantly, this means all of us getting more engaged politically at the “local-est” of levels. We must ALL resolve to hold our leaders accountable if we want to see this city choose people first.”
Three great minds sharing their hope for Memphis in 2024!

Back in 2018, I first started to think about how we could get textbooks sitting unused in a class cupboard in London shared with a cash-strapped school in Yorkshire. After five years of hard graft, School Resources Exchange properly got going last year. While it has been challenging to say the least, it's also pretty amazing to be starting 2024 with a live service that is already being used by and helping hundreds of schools. The focus for this year is simple - help more schools. What we're doing is a no-brainer. It's a free service which can benefit every single school in the UK. The impact of sharing surplus items between schools is a genuine game-changer on so many levels. If you know someone connected to a school - a staff member, parent, governor, etc - be sure to tell them about us as it really could help them out enormously. 👇 The short video explains exactly what we're doing and how the service - a nationwide schools' circular sharing community - can benefit every single school in the UK. #schools #schoofunding #schoolresources #schoolbudgets #circulareconomy #communityimpact #secondaryeducation #primaryeducation #teachers #headteachers #slt #schoolbusinessmanagers
Last year our focus was on launching. This year we're excited to be growing our community and working in partnership with lots more schools. If you know someone who works in a school then be sure to tell them about us.

When you match a community’s needs with the right environment for current generation autonomous shuttles, three things happen: 1️⃣ You gain rider adoption and public readiness for autonomous vehicles 2️⃣ You develop the right learnings to prepare for scaled autononous shuttle networks 3️⃣ You gain AMAZING results like this. 👏🏻 Cumberland Community Improvement District on your Hopper Program as you prepare for the Cumberland Sweep. Working with your board and council is key to aligning strategy for the future of your community. A reminder that in our industry, an open mind is one of the best things a board, council or court member can bring to the table. Grateful to have that in a community where I work AND live. #medc #mckinney #mckinneytexas #mckinneytx #pipeline #projectpipeline #development #economicdevelopment #land #landdevelopment #strategy #strategicthinking #strategicplanning #boardretreat
We spent the day yesterday with our staff and board evaluating and strategizing about our high-level misson, KPI's, and goals, and it felt only fitting to end the day on the eighth floor of the District 121 Building as the highest point in McKinney. Thankful to have a board and staff with great vision to see the future, hearts to strengthen the community, and hands to work out what strategic growth in McKinney can look like.
