ArchAI uses AI models to automate the detection of archaeological sites required by environmental impact assessments (EIAs) during the planning permission application process for construction projects within Europe. MapMortar is a virtual modelling and simulation platform to make decarbonisation retrofit planning more accurate, saving costs in implementation. (That's CEO Hugh Frost there in the photo with Puja Balachander, Director of Venture)  🏠Adept by Natural Building Systems was a finalist in the Built Environment category - they are systemising the use of bio based materials in the construction industry. ✈️Venture Launchpad alumni FLIMAX Ltd were finalist in the transport and logistics promising solutions category - they are developing a battery-electric aircraft. 💡Optimise AI were spotlighted in the Awards Innovation Gallery - they are reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions in non-domestic buildings via their patented Digital Twin technology. I attended what was my first, but Fundación Ship2B’s 10th, Impact Forum. I was inspired by all the #SMES that have identified a gap in the market and are now propelling industries forward, setting #benchmarks for larger enterprises to follow. I admire these #entrepreneurs’ ability to harness the power of #technology, #pivot and experiment with unparalleled resilience. #Ship2BImpactForum: - Underscored the urgent need to reimagine our relationship with #nature. - Showcased concrete examples where deep tech is not just a buzzword but a tangible force for building a more #sustainable and equitable future. - Resonated the importance of #collaboration between businesses, #investors and #innovators, amplifying their #impact. I was lucky to reconnect with some of the people who molded my #education and thank them in person. Seeing all the people who participated in this event definitely validated my career choice as someone who wishes to continue to grow within the #sustainability field. As Uli Grabenwarter said, "it's about building the ship we'd like to be on and change the course ahead in order not to hit the iceberg".
