Would you take a non FDA approved drug? Drive a car without NCAP safety rating? Use an electric device without CE safety mark? Than why, on earth, would you settle for an EV charging platform that is not OCPP certified? Wevo Energy is proud to be one of the few platforms to have been certified for both OCPP 1.6 and 2.0.1. Safe. Reliable. Interoperable. That what makes us the fastest growing EV platform globally. Open Charge Alliance EVRoaming Foundation
Hi Teddy Flatau, I would agree these can be useful. However, there is no certification available for the OCPP 1.6J / 2.0.1 defined “Local Controller” that I am aware of. Also, the OCPP 1.6J and 2.0.1 published standards do not support failover of local controllers running OCPP, which would be needed for a robust energy management system. Perhaps these certifications are more focused on validating features like EV charging session authorization and applying configuration settings?
Was Wevo platform always OCPP certified from day one ? If not then did wevo tell its clients not to use their platform because it didn’t have all the safety ratings you mentioned ?
Please add the nuance that you are certified for OCPP2.0.1 Core, which is only a small part which does not include 2.0.1's USP of ISO15118 P&C support

1moIt’s disingenuous to imply OCPP has anything to do with safety. It’s the transport layer that matters not your message format.
