Westbound and Colorwave co-hosted a virtual #CompanyShowcase to foster community & conversation amongst top Black and Latino talent and tech industry insiders. The event featured founders & hiring managers at early-stage, growth stage, and post-IPO technology companies for "Ask me Anything" style panels that highlighted what makes each company stage uniquely challenging and exciting. Here are some tidbits of what we learned ⬇️ From Niles & Peyton's early-stage breakout room: 💡 Weigh the inherent risks against the opportunity to wear many hats and build something from scratch. From Samuel & Loren’s growth-stage breakout room: 💡 Look for indicators of success, opportunities for internal mobility, and alignment with the company’s roadmap for sustained growth. And from David, Wayne & Ruel's post-IPO breakout room: 💡 Consider your “dream work” over a “dream job” in order to align with roles that fit your north star, rather than focusing on titles.
