I'm talking about the fatigue feeling of not being able to get the things done that you planned for the week during the weekend. Instead of making a laundry list of things you want to accomplish, try writing down 3 things you want to accomplish that day in the morning. Do those 3 things and then do it again. Main learnings from the process of calibration of tea tasting among tasters. When you use this for improving your tasting accuracy it helps. A sound advise from my boss was that tasting was like playing golf. You are always playing against yourself. No system is pefect. Try to limit the learning to what is possible within the process. Tea Tasting requires all senses to work in harmony. Trusting yourself is important. Each cup you taste will have an instictive score. Validate that and move on. The days you feel tea tasting is no longer enjoyable and challenging it is likely you will have more deviations #tea #calibration

Last night I had my first alcoholic drink in 7 months ... Our table was full with close friends, great food & quality wine. The oysters were served & the Bollinger flowed. I chose to enjoy a glass. The 9 Imperial Blossom Wagyu was plated & a bottle of 2012 Keith Tulloch 'The Kester' shiraz was opened. I chose to enjoy a glass. The 9 courses of culinary delights, conversation & much laughter carried us late into the evening. This morning I rose heavy & dull, despite my usual kind, slow start. My mind was sluggish, my body felt lethargic & oddly, my joints were enlarged. These were the consequences of my choice to drink. My alcohol free stance is a lifestyle choice. I choose not to drink as it allows me to - live & work with clarity, and - provide the best version of me to my family, friends & clients.
