✨ The #Muspell Consortium gathered in #Switzerland to plan ahead the development of the next generation of Thermal Energy Storage Systems (TESS), and pave the way for revolutionary advancements in sustainable energy solutions! During the visit, we seized the opportunity to unveil the #hyperloop infrastructure in #Lausanne to our guests. We dived deeper into the synergy between Muspell TESS and our pioneering hyperloop technology, and how this fusion promises to tackle key challenges in thermal management, revolutionizing energy efficiency in low-pressure environments. Their approach includes technical assistance, capacity building, outreach and consensus building. RAP's key initiatives encompass decarbonizing the grid, electrification of buildings and transportation, distributed energy resources, reducing emissions from fossil fuels and designing a #cleanenergy future. It has effective relationships with numerous EU agencies, NGOs and institutes, and is often sought out for advice on complex energy and regulatory issues. Last week, the #SMHYLES kicked off! The project is funded through the Horizon Europe programme and it is coordinated by FBK-SE | The Centre for Sustainable Energy | Bruno Kessler Foundation 💫 🔋 #SMHYLES targets the design, development and demonstration of novel Hybrid Energy Storage Systems (#HESS) at an industrial scale. It combines the capabilities of low-CRM and aqueous ESS including #VRFB, salt #batteries and aqueous #supercapacitors. 🔧 The #project will consist in developing two novel HESSs that will be implemented in 2 demonstrators in Portugal (in Maia and Graciosa Island) and in the validation of HESS retrofitting and #RFB on-demand expansion, demonstrated in Germany (Pfinztal).💻Novel #digital tools will be developed to optimise HESS #design and real-time management. ♻ HESS #sustainability is taken into account by integrating #LCA from the design phase.
