𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 👀 We've got some weather to watch here in the Northeast. First up, scattered snow showers and squalls developing Sunday ahead of a rather potent cold front that ushers in the coldest air of the year so far for a good chunk of the area. We also have some intense lake effect snow bands setting up in Upstate NY, forecasted to produce over 2 feet of snow in spots by Monday!! And of course, we haven't forgotten about our system early next week. It is by no means a major storm, but can bring more of a widespread snowfall to areas that have not seen much so far this winter. More details tomorrow. #snow #forecast #winter #storm #WeatherWorks #WeatherExperts #WeatherSolutions #BusinessSolutions #b2b #weather #snowandice #ice #sima #facilitymanagement #dpw #publicworks #education #weatherdata #contrators #landscaping #propertymanagement #facilitymaintenance #facilitiesmanagement #consultation #snowremoval #snowplow #deicer

We've seen so many different snow maps out on social media in the past day or so, we wanted to give our take on this upcoming system. Unlike the last storm, this is all snow, with the exception of some mixed rain in the Delmarva and southern NJ shore. Lots of dry air also likely limits how far north the snow gets into New England. The wild card is a possible phenomenon called an "inverted trough/norlun trough". These can bring locally higher snowfall but are tricky to pinpoint exactly. Indications are for something like this to try and set up somewhere in Southern NJ to maybe near Philly, potentially bringing localized 4" when all is said and done. We'll keep an eye on it 👀 #snow #forecast #winter #storm #WeatherWorks #WeatherExperts #WeatherSolutions #BusinessSolutions #b2b #weather #snowandice #ice #sima #facilitymanagement #dpw #publicworks #education #weatherdata #contrators #landscaping #propertymanagement #facilitymaintenance #facilitiesmanagement #consultation #snowremoval #snowplow #deicer

𝐒𝐍𝐎𝐖 & 𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐒𝐍𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐒 𝐔𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐑 𝐌𝐈𝐃𝐖𝐄𝐒𝐓 ❄️🧊 The snow/ice/rain line is steadily advancing southward and eastward across the Upper Midwest, particularly Minnesota, at this hour. While many areas south and east of this boundary currently dealing with manageable road conditions, the arrival of freezing precipitation and snowfall rates exceeding 0.5" per hour will likely resulting more challenging travel later this morning and into this afternoon as snow accumulates rapidly on paved surfaces. Snowfall is expected to persist into the evening, although rates should gradually diminish by mid to late afternoon across most of the region. An additional 1-4" of snow is forecasted for much of Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin through the evening, with localized higher amounts possible, most of which will accumulate on paved surfaces. Cleanup efforts will be hindered by strong winds, resulting in blowing and drifting snow throughout the region. #midwest #plains #greatlakes #minnesota #minneapolis #stpaul #twincities #weather #blizzard #winterstorm #winter #snow #snowfall #snowfighters #snowpros #snowplowing #snowremoval #snowandice #ice #deicing #brine #salt #snowandicemanagement #landscaping #landscapers #contractors #facilitymanager #facilitymanagement #facilitiesmanagement #truewx

𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐌𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐒 𝐀𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐈𝐃𝐖𝐄𝐒𝐓 🌨️ Before that quick shot of winter weather ever reaches the Mid-Atlantic, it will trek through the Mid-Mississippi Valley, Ohio Valley, and the Southern Great Lakes this morning through later this evening. Through midnight, a snow swath of .5-3" is anticipated to fall from eastern Kansas through Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, northern Kentucky, and Ohio, while brushing southern Iowa and southern Michigan, with slightly higher amounts possible locally. Unlike the Mid-Atlantic, most of what falls across these areas will occur during the daylight hours, so as long as snowfall rates remain light (.25" per hour or less) pavement temperatures should hold off any pavement accumulations. However, once snowfall rates near or eclipse .5" per hour, which is expected to happen at times, accumulations will occur on paved surfaces and continue until things begin to taper back. #midwest #mississippivalley #ohiovalley #greatlakes #weather #winterstorm #winter #winterishere #snow #snowfall #snowfighters #snowpros #snowplowing #snowremoval #snowandice #ice #deicing #brine #salt #snowandicemanagement #landscaping #landscapers #contractors #facilitymanager #facilitymanagement #facilitiesmanagement #truewx
